    Wilder had mooted moving down to cruiser weight before:

    It probably makes sense. Especially if he carries a lot of that power at the lower weight to go with a likely reach advantage. Arguably he should've been at that weight if there wasn't more money at HW.

    He has to come out of hiding first. That biblical shellacking and humiliation by his now 2 x surrogate father Fury turned him into a recluse and the only time he's managed to summon the courage to pop his head out of the monastery has been when he released that cringeworthy albeit unintentionally hilarious ''I am your king. I am strong. I will rise up!'' video and when that footage of him twerking like an overexcited bisexual praying mantis surfaced on social media.

    And the only recent news I've heard on the grapevine about him is him ducking the third and final installment of the trilogy with Fury and him firing the member of his team who might well have saved him for acquiring that elusive body on his record he's been searching for.

    Mark my words, he's done. He didn't have much to begin with other than a big right hand, a freakish reach, and the best matchmaker in history but he's been de-souled by Fury now and he's toast both mentally and physically.
