I feel like Clayton was a little unlucky not to get the win, but I don't have any real issue with the outcome. Let's see a rematch.

I don't have a problem with a draw. I like body punching I just don't think Lipinets got enough of it done.

I had it 115-113 Lipinets but a draw is good

First draw for either man in their professional boxing careers.

Honestly they could have a trilogy and yield 3 draws.

What a boring fight. I would not want to see it again.

Lipinets was pretty much plodding the whole fight. Was not able to set up much, no effective jab. As far as proving that he one of the elite at that weight, not even close. Clayton showed some good things in the 12th and has potential if he lets his punches and combos go more. He may have bee too negative most of the fight. Draw is fair because both didn't really pull away with anything.

Not enough to offset Clayton's edge in jabs, imo. But whatevs...It was a fun fight. Would definitely be down for a rematch.

Cayton is talented and he throws so some sweet counters and even though I thought he came back really well in the second half of the fight, I thought Lipinets swept pretty much all of the rounds in the first half of it, and the commentary team were awarding Cayton points for being slicker in rounds he was being outworked in and then when Lipinets tired and Cayton came on in the last 4 or 5 rounds they were scoring them in his favour for outworking Lip, which I agreed with. A draw is fine but I couldn't see 7 rounds for Cayton there.

I think it's worth noting Clayton took the fight on a 2 weeks notice.

Eh... it was pretty boring. I was getting drowsy in the second half. And I like Sergey and don't mind Custio. But they didn't gel well.

Actually Clayton was told five weeks prior to the fight that he was a potential alternant and lipinets’ opponent was having a visa issues. Yet on the other hand lipinets was told about a number of different opponents that were potentials if his original opponent had visa issues. Plus he had to prepare for his original opponent until 2 was prior. Which is totally fair. As a promoter you wanna have a few options. But personally I think the preparation for the alternate opponent in the end was easier for Clayton then for the Russian.

I’m a Canadian and have been following Clayton since AMs so can’t speak for the rest of y’all but my heart was pounding the whole time. Objectively it did look a little boring and never got too out of control for either guy.

Both equally matched good decision really.
