Best versions of both. I’d pick Holyfield to stop Joe late, he’s all round better than Louis in pretty much every aspect except power. Who takes it?

I have to disagree. I think Louis is the better all around fighter. I'm picking Louis here just not sure how.

Louis has much faster hands, how is Evander better when it comes to handspeed?

Louis has faster hands and hits harder. Could Holyfield hurt him with a good left hook? Sure. But Holyfields tendency to brawl will lead him to problems vs a quicker handed harder hitting guy like Louis.

Louis by decision or possible late stoppage. Too much speed and power.

Evander would bust him up. Far tougher, beat and faced far better opposition in his time.

In a series of 3, Holyfield wins the first and Louis the other two.

If Holyfield slugged it out with power punching super heavyweights I think he’d be ok vs Louis

Its different. Louis may not have the same raw power as Lewis but he is more dangerous. He can put 5-6 punch power combinations in less than 2 seconds. He can throw a tripe left hook in a second. Lewis can't.

A fast handed hard hitting combination puncher like Louis or pre prison Tyson is more dangerous than a bigger hard hitting super heavyweight like Lewis.

Why is Holyfield being massively overrated all of a sudden?

Overrated because he’s being picked to beat Louis? He fought in a tougher era and has wins over better opponents

Only Louis actually consistently won against top opponents.

If your throwing combinations at Holyfield your getting some combos in return, Holyfield has the much better chin

I suspect Louis gets knocked down, but gets up and stops Holyfield.

Holyfield could win this fight by boxing carefully as he did vs Bowe in the 2nd fight. He's got better defense and is longer than Louis, who I think was too easy to hit, and had slower feet.

Holyfield had a good chin, far better just about anyone Louis beat, with the possible exception of Simon who took a beating, and was too easy to hit, so Louis chances of scoring a come from behind KO was lower

If Holyfield goes to war, I like Louis.

He beat two better opponents, and lost to one of them twice. That's not enough to make up for a 25 year title reign with one of the best résumés in heavyweight history.
