I expect an easier task for Hrgovic and a victory within 6 rounds, I also expect a better opponent if Hrgovic fights again in december...
Hrgovic will have no problem with Booker. He has the feel of a real contender will see when they match him with a serious opponent. Booker doesn't do much more then survive whether its now or back when he fought Toney a decade + ago.
Agreed. The double is with top 25-50th types angling for a shot with Fury, or Joshua who wants 30k to get knocked out? I like to see 6 rounds, I suspect it will be more like 3.
I think people's expectations have been warped by how quickly Joshua stepped up and won a title, but even he was fighting the likes of Zumbano Love in his 12th fight, so while Rydell Booker isn't exactly an exciting opponent, as you've pointed out, this is the pretty normal for a novice/prospect. Also doesn't help that Joyce is fighting Dubois in his 12th fight next which does make Hrgovic's choice of opponent for his 12th fight look poor but Hrgovic being much younger than Joyce is on a very different career trajectory with no need to rush his development. He should make short work of Rydell Booker who at 39 has seen better days and is obviously fighting just for the money so I don't expect much from him. Hrgovic does need to step up at some point next year as it will be his 4th year as a pro and at that point most would expect any serious prospect to start putting themselves into a position as being seen as a contender and not just a prospect.
He's fought no one worth talking about. Even present fighters like Joyce and Yoka have probably faced stiffer tests already. Like I said, most his opponents have been old bums.
I say no on Yoka. Molina for example fought for a world title not so long ago. Using our eyes, we can see how good Hrgovic is. Joyce, who I think will bet Dubois doesn't have the luxury of time. He's rolling the dice now.
I think Hrgovic will be the first to stop booker of all the coming up heavyweight prospects Hrgovic Makhmudov and Dubois are the most dangerous Joyce and Ajagba are good but have 2 really obvious weaknesses that I think will hold them back Joyce with his speed and Ajagba with his defense I rate Yoka and Sanchez too but I need to see more of yoka agaist better quality opponents before forming an opinon of him. Sanchez has really good skill but its looking like he didn't bring up a lot of power from Crusierweight I think he has the ability to outbox people really high up in the division but I dont think he will ever have a lot of fans simply because of his style. I think Hrgovic is very well rounded with an excellent ring iq and very good power. Dubois has decent defense but a lot of power Makhmudov's size and power make him a handful for a lot of people in the divison I imagine its going to be very hard to get these 3 fights I think they could take out a lot of people in the top 10 like Ortiz Parker and Pulev.
Last time I watched rydell Booker fight he was getting the everloving hell beaten out of him James Toney who was fighting with a torn bicep
