Floyd Mayweather - perhaps best fighter of his generation. He retired undefeated, fought some of the best fighters there were & had a highly successful career, whether you like it or not. Floyd fought a lot of different styles, but rarely ever fought the slick-boxer style. In fact, the only time I remember him fighting a slick-boxer was Zab Judah - who gave him problems early on before Floyd adjusted & picked him apart.
    How does Floyd fare against:
    Camacho
    Benitez
    Whitaker
    M Taylor
    Randall
    Malinaggi
    Khan
    Bradley
    Algeri
    Alexander
    D Garcia

Benitez and Whitaker are the only ones who can beat him. I'm not saying they'll definitely beat him, cause it's a 50:50 match, but they have the most realistic chances. They are very skilled and fast too.
M Taylor also has some incredible speed, but I'm not sure if that's gonna be enough.

Apart from these 3, Floyd beats the rest with ease.

Sweep. Whitaker would have a chance at 135 if Floyd is having an off night.

Whitaker gets the better of him at 135 or 140. His jab and offensive activity should see him to a decision win in a high class box off. Floyd was too cerebral. Too exact. Insecurity being the root cause. Whitaker just flowed and the greatness came effortlessly by comparison. Natural vs manufactured.

I’d favor him over the teenage Benitez who fought at 140. El Radar was just too damn inconsistent against the top guys he faced there. Understandable given the fact that he was yet to reach his 19th birthday before moving on.

At 130-135, young Camacho would pose serious problems, but I’d count on Floyd’s superior tactical depth to overcome Camacho’s speed and power in what would likely be a very close decision on the cards. Would love to watch that one.

Nobody else is a real threat except maybe Randall. That one intrigues me for some reason.

He wins against all of them, he is the most underrated fighter ever and he is rated, but people just don’t seem to realise how special his skills really were

Whitaker, Benitez and Camacho would all be tough fights if they meet him at their best weights. The rest I wouldn’t even give a chance

I’ve seen every fight of his career. Several of them multiple times. Do you think I’m just missing some specific skill in every fight?

Here’s an alternative. I’ve watched a lot of fighters. A whole lot. So many that Floyd, while indeed special, wasn’t doing any one thing I haven’t seen from someone else. He was a great technician, but the most impressive things about him to me were his consistency and business sense.

Yeah, you haven’t seen him do one thing no one else hasn’t, but you or I have never seen anyone else combine all of those skills together as Mayweather does

Danny Garcia, Khan, and Algeri are "slick fighters?"

    Lmao! Thats news to me.

Floyd loses to Benitez and Whitaker.

His toughest opponent outta the rest of the list is by far Taylor, but I think Floyd edges Mel out in a great fight.

Prime Camacho also poses trouble for Floyd, but i think Floyd adapts and outclassss Hector.

Floyd beats the rest quite easily.

I'd say they are somewhat. Of course they're not the slickest-boxers out there because they're not. However, Garcia is a counterpuncher who uses a slight philly shell, Khan has very fast hands & feet (Similar to M Taylor), & Algeri is a good technical boxer with some speed.

At Jr.lightweight I like Camacho over him , If there was a fighter all wrong for Mayweather Jr at his absolute best fighting weight it would be Camacho Sr. Camacho was just as fast, (Maybe faster TBH) just as skilled, and to top it off a freaking south paw.
At Lightweight Whitaker, also a south paw, also just as fast and skilled as Mayweather, key difference would be Whitaker's aggression, and jab and unorthodox movement.
At Jr.welter Benitez, Mayweather jr started pop shotting at this weight, waiting for the perfect counter opportunity. Against Benitez a great jab and combo punching was the key to beating him at his best. One punch at a time, fighting safely wouldn't work against him. He also was a naturally bigger, stronger man.
Mel Taylor. At Jr.welter. possibly the fastest fighter in history as far as hand speed was concerned. He wasn't as talented as the fighters above, but he may have the best ability to beat Mayweather Jr convincingly. Styles make fights. Mayweather Jr in my opinion wouldn't be able to get on track against Taylor. He didn't hit with the power of Chavez so he wouldn't be able to wear him down. I like Taylor to outwork him, those fast, though not very hard punches would keep Mayweather thinking defense.
The other fighters listed were not in Mayweather Jr area code as far as ability. Other than Randell the rest would be easy work.

Benitez would be deserved favorite. He has the size and skills to control the fight.

Whitaker...I worry about the height and reach he would be giving up to a master boxer. He still might pull it off, even fight. Machoman is another smaller boxer that would present some serious problems.

I feel Bradley and Khan would have been hard interesting fights for a past prime Mayweather at the end of his career. In particular, Khan would have the youth, height, reach, and speed edge. Bradley is going to give anyone who can't hurt him a hard time.

IMO, Benitez and Whitaker beat him but he beats the rest.
