    The only reason this fight is happening is because Lovejoy is currently 350lbs fresh off the sofa after knocking out cans in Mexico.
    He has a top 15 ranking so when Allen ices him he will be ranked and AJ can have a voluntary against Dave.
    I'm sure i have heard somewhere that one of Lovejoys wins was against a Welterweight lol.
    Lovejoy is also ranked 439 on boxrec with a WBA top 15 ranking WTF is this, even Danny Williams is ranked 100 places higher than this guy.
    Dave may not be very good but surely he absolutely Ice's this guy and the circus begins with Allen calling Fury and AJ out as 'he has a WBA top 15 ranking'.

    Yikes. Love the White Rhino, but I have not seen the moment where he suddenly became a fighter who would be expected to be competitive with someone like Hammer - I was worried for Allen, and relieved he's getting a softer touch. Something in between would have been better, but still.

    How exactly is a high level journeyman with 5 losses, 3 of them being by KO, whose career best wins are KOing a glass jawed prospect Nick Webb, who was subsequently found out by another top tier journeyman who finds frauds out in Kamil Sokolowski, and KOing a shot past it ancient Lucas Browne, who'd also recently gone life and death with Sokolowski as well.... fighting an undefeated yet unproven KO artist a joke?

    Big mouth, eye catching record.
    If anything, Lovejoy is probably a better sparring partner than an actual boxer :lol:
    More often than not, sparring isn´t actual fighting, so someone as limited as Lovejoy can be used to work on things.

    I've seen it myself. Joe Joyce was sparring a friend of a friend who was just a big rugby player who had never even had an amateur fight and watching them I was thinking WTF is the point of this.

    Think It's a better match up than Allen vs Hammer, which would've been one sided. If Lovejoy is the pretender we all think he is, then another fraud bites the dust.

    Dave Allen is the lowest level 'name' gatekeeper I can think of. I was amazed that people though he would beat Price.
