I disagree mate as far as I remember Eubank had not yet signed to fight Golovkin so it's not like there was money tied up or there was a fight to be saved. I disagree Eddie Hearn is his promoter not his manager or even his trainer, they're the guys with a duty of care and they're the ones who agreed the fight along with Brook himself. Eddie's job is simply to put the best fights in front of him and present the opportunity. And btw, Kell Brook fighting Golovkin wasn't considered death defying until after he sustained those injuries. Any criticism of that fight has been done purely in hindsight. At best people just said he'd lose handily.
Just read that now. Has to really fight Brook if he wants a big pay day. Fight has come way too late but I’d still watch it and I’m sure plenty of others would.
I heard he forced him to sign that fat cheque at gun point. He then had to get his shooter out again on fight night to force him into the ring.
If this is directed at me, I've never once asserted that Hearn "made" Brook fight GGG. Again, posters failing to read my posts properly. All I have stated is that Brook bailed Hearn out by taking that fight. The whole event was set up to facilitate a Golovkin fight in the UK. The Eubanks were making wild demands and that fight was never going to happen. Broom stepped in and solved Hearn's problem. Not sure how anyone can argue against that. No one is saying Brook was forced into that fight, just that he did Hearn a massive favour and made both Matchroom and Sky millions in the process in a fight that destroyed his career.
Do you think Hearn should have offered him the fight? Because that he did and that itself was a wrongun
Eubank snr and his Mrs had agreed to pretty much everything then all of a sudden started making crazy demands and changing the terms. It was literally a done deal then Senior and his mrs ****ed it up, in hindsight probably for the best.
Warren should be taking that fight on BT Sport and getting Khan to do the commentary - then look to put that fight on themselves
Read above. Khan has just lost a fortune on the wedding hall he is building in Bolton. £10m in the red with no finished building and legal expenses set to follow. He will almost certainly need to fight again if he wants to recoup his losses.
He can earn big money in the Middle East. He would carry on his operandi modi of leading Brook along that he will fight him (and then not).
Maybe. I'm a bit skeptical that the Arabs will fling another huge payday at him since his profile is now pretty low and I'm sure their main interest is securing Fury-Joshua given the situation with the pandemic and fans not being allowed in UK stadiums. Brook is still surely Khan's biggest earner, especially if fans are allowed back in next year.
