Put Haye in Holyfield’s shoes at cruiser. Can he match Holyfield’s accomplishments in that era? I personally think he would blast through everyone except quawi who has the biggest chance of beating him. What makes this harder is that he’d have to face the toughest opponent very early and a loss at that point would be a big set back, but If he can get through Dwight than I think he can get through Holyfield’s other opponents, but if he loses I really don’t know. How does he fare?
Holyfield defeated Qawi over 15 rounds in his 12th pro fight. Haye gassed out and was stopped in 5 by Thompson in his 11th pro fight. Realistically, Haye's got zero chance to get past Qawi. Then there's Ocasio, DeLeon, even Tillman ....... very very difficult fights for Haye at that stage.
Qawi beats him. I'm sure of that. He probably stops DeLeon and Ocasio, but he can definitely lose those fights. He'd beat Tillman no problem, IMO.
He'd beat all of them. Qawi is probably the toughest fight unless he catches him early. Haye at cruser is a more explosive puncher than Holyfield though
In a 15 round fight with Dwight, I don't see Haye making it. Even Holyfield ended up in hospital after didn't he! Unless Haye could take him out early! That's a possibility.
