Okolie V Glowacki AJ/Pulev undercard

This will be one of the very rare occasions when I am reluctantly not supporting the British fighter.

I hope Glowacki wins but in the UK on a Matchroom show with his size and awkward frustrating 'spoiling' style I think Okolie has a big chance of winning a via decision.

Okolie really is an awful fighter though. The Matty Askin fight is just impossible to forget for me.

Im actually looking forward to this. I think Okolie has got the power and awkwardness to trouble most in the division but is his chin made of glass? He will surely get chin checked here. If we get a strong ref who stops the holding then it could be a very good fight.

 

Okolie is going to look like he's had a bad day at McDonald's after this fight, sauce all over him. He's going to get hit and he's going to get hurt, surely a fight of this size will mean a referee that clamps down on all that rubbish he was doing against Askin, that was a truly awful and quite frankly disgusting fight.

 

Let's hope that Glowacki will be able to stop him.

You need one punch knockout power to stop Okolie as he forces his opponent into a clinch every time they throw, if he’s hurt he’ll just cling on for dear life.

I'm not sure why people are speculating as to whether there will be an ethical referee. It's a Matchroom show. It must be nearly a 100% chance of a bent referee and judges.

I would absolutely love to see "the sauce" get chinned - can't stand him, but I suspect the Pole's best days are behind him.

 

Okolie tries to octopus his way to a split decision win, but gets ironed out in the late rounds by Glowacki. If Terry O'connor is the referee, he will give Okolie every assistance and carry him back to his corner a few times for good measure.

I agree but surely a trainer, manager, and most importantly as Okolies opponent you'd make such a fuss before the fight about his holding.

Every interview, press conference, before the fight, during referee chat in the dressing room, all I would be talking about is Okolies excessive holding.

I'd put huge pressure on the referee and judges and officials.

 

I wish he was fighting the version of Glowacki that gave Usyk some serious problems.
