Peak Tyson. Not saying he wasnt a ko king or amazing. But I rate him being explosive due to his movement and speed and pure desire to want to kill you. In terms of his actual punch it was obviously decent but not as big as some think. You watch some footage and he is wading in to fighters and takes him a while with people who could take a bit of a shot. It was Tysons work rate and skill that made him what he was
Golovkin. Golovkin. Golovkin. And if I can vote again, Golovkin. LOL @ several calling Tyson an overrated puncher. The Tyson hate is strong on this forum.
oh me too Richard M. I still have a crush on her, Saw her first on batman as a kid, (Riddler used her to dress as kidnapped robin) and the big one I loved her in "Bond Girl" diamonds are forever ps) JILL THE THRILL IS WORTH 9 MILL $$
WELL ITS BECAUSE HE LOST 6 FIGHTS 5 BY KNOCKOUT, MARCIANO GETS MALIGNED EVERYWHERE AND THE POOR GUY WAS 49-0 43 KNOCKOUTS, AND DEFEATED 6 #1 CONTENDERS FOR HIS TIME, TYSON CANNOT MATCH EITHER OF THOSE MENTIONED FOR HIS..
Anyone who calls Tyson an overrated puncher is a special kind of hater. Calling him an overrated fighter is one thing, but if you dont acknowledge the fact that he's a top 10-20 puncher in boxing history, you're just being totally blinded by hate.
I think Tyson isn't overrated because he was the best prime fighter. He was undisputed, undefeated prime champion(who was the youngest heavyweight World champion also) and won his first 37 fights including 10 World title fights and he wasn't down to his 38. fight.. Who did similar remarkable thing ? Plus he had an exciting,crowd-pleasing style. He had about 20 years professional carrier and only 5 fighters could beat him.Overrated?.Sure...
GO HATE YOURSELF, HE NEVER KNOCKED OUT ANYBODY, THEY KNOCKED HIM OUT ***** UNLESS YOU BLINDED BY HATE FOR, HOLYFIELD, LEWIS, DOUGLAS, AND THOSE OTHER TWO BUMS, HE'S SO GREAT HE QUITS ON HIS STOOL, TO AN OVERWEIGHT GUY WHO WAS NOT IN THE TOP 2,000
Does Holmes ring a bell ?! Also, being a HOF doesn't mean you have the best chin, it means you are a great boxer who has has had a great career and/or a big impact on the sport.
