hmmm, been making a lot of bad predictions lately. Talked a co worker out of betting on Lopez. dhoh! My guess is Usyk by decision. Does Chisora really have a punchers chance? What's Usyks chin like, who has tested it?
He has as much of a puncher's chance as any slow moving 250lbs tank has. Usyk's chin is solid. I don't think he's ever been down. Took shots off Gassiev, Nistor, Medzhidov, Joyce, Briedis, Bellew. Can't remember if he took any shots off Fa or Huck. Nistor was the closest to seriously hurting him, but Nistor was an extremely explosive puncher. More pertinent is how many of those shots landed flush. Usyk is extremely good at blocking and rolling with shots, and when he does get caught it's usually on the counter. Big powerful swings he can see coming don't usually trouble him. Look at the Medzhidov fight I posted earlier. That's the likely pattern of how things go down.
Points woundnt be a good thing for Usyks path in the hws. He wiill push to close the match with a fast or sudden KO imo.
Usyk has an amazing skillset while on the other hand Chisora has incredible strength, yet I think Usyk is too skillful for Chisora and Chisora will not be able to make a killer combination, he can only rely on a lucky punch...
Usyk in the second half of the fight after Chisora has plodded after him and is exhausted. Probably stopped on his feet.
Yes lads! I hope everyone is well? I am backing the Finchley Don to win by a stunning, come from behind KO in the ninth. Usyk is my man, don't get me wrong, but Derek is a British boxing ICON.
My opinion for what it's worth. At cruiser Usyk was the man but in his first outing at heavy against Witherspoon I wasn't impressed. Witherspoon caught him with a few counters and those same punches from Del might feel a tad heavier, I know, I know styles and all that. I realise that Usyk can raise his game accordingly but if Del starts catching him starts roughing him up in close gets a little bit dirty on the refs blind side I give him a decent shout. I'm going for Del via stoppage.
I’ll go with Usyk by unanimous decision. I’m also very excited about Bilal Laggoune being on the undercard. Watched him spar in Miami a few years ago
This fight will show whether Usyk is here for an AJ payday Or he has actual aspirations & ability to succeed at the weight Needs to shutdown Chisora big time and either dominate on points or a stoppage. I don't think Usyk is as slick as people might believe. He actually is happy to sit on the line of range & take shots on the guard and keep a constant pressure looking for openings. Can't really do that with Chisora.
BRUTHA USKY would toy with a big stiff chinny robot like Joshua. Especially since the tubby Mexican exposed his glass heart. I make the top two favourites against the BRUTHA from behind the iron curtain, wilder simply because he needs to touch him once and it’s game over, fury simply because he’s a giant AND an ATG.
