Absolutely cracking fight, hats off to both of them for really giving it a go. I hate to say it because I'm still unsold on him as a person but Gervonta is the real deal, that power at that weight with his speed and size is going to be too much for pretty much anyone.
Pbc announcers claiming that the barrios fight is THE 140lb title!..no mention it's the super baby belt trinket.looks like the super champ doesn't exist in pbc land.
Felt bad for LSC because he gave it a great go against a physical freak. I would've loved to see the last four rounds if LSC survived although Gervonta looked in great shape. Gervonta isn't a likeable bloke but when he puts on those gloves, you have to watch and see what happens. Looks like he has dynamite in both hand with a wonderful variety of hard punches.
I think they said Davies was ahead at the time of KO, which makes me wonder if there was a route to him winning other than knocking Tank out. I had him up on the cards at any rate.
Great fight, brutal finish. I couldn’t help feeling sorry for Leo’s dad. After everything he has been through, to watch his son get flattened in such a manner must of been terrible. Boxing can be such a cruel sport.
He s a young brash lad from the Ghetto, cut him a bit of slack! He was on point in the post match interview.
You did? I think LSC high output will make it seem worse than it is. I thought Tank looked composed throughout but i wasn't a fan of the Mayweather style of backing into a corner, pot shotting and getting out! Davis isn't good enough to do that like Floyd
Yep, I mean I only had him up by a round I think but there were times that he was forcing Tank back, getting his head rocked around plenty. Maybe it seemed worse to me given that LSC isn't a puncher and was coming up a weight too. He did keep his composure though, that's true, so he has matured as a fighter. KO aside, I was a little underwhelmed by him to be honest. I say 'KO aside' but you can't exactly brush that under the carpet lol, it was a beaut
Interesting to see the presentation last night for international viewers- clean feed, no adverts and different commentary. I hope Channel 5 get more of these cards to compliment Mick’s cards- one card a month (domestic or international) on terrestrial TV going forward would be excellent.
