They way Loma treated him, the way way Loma has acted since, especially when I was 23 yrs old...I’d probably say the same things to be fair.

I'm not saying he had surgery, I'm saying he's lying about having surgery. I have great respect for Loma's abilities. As I said before, he has been managed extremely well. He was groomed for greatness from a very young age. I find it impossible that his team, after years of planning and very hard work, to get this career defining fight, that they would move forward knowing Loma will be a one armed fighter come fight night. Saying he would rather retire than postpone? Why? None of it makes sense. I see all of it as a way to save face, put a huge amount of interest in a rematch. A rematch which will be PPV. 2.8 mil watched the fight. I bet 1mil buy the PPV. That's big money! I don't put anything past people when money is involved.

I understand what you were saying and I’m saying I don’t think Loma is the type of fighter who would lie about an injury or surgery to make excuses. Guys lose fights eventually and there is no shame in that kind of loss. He made it interesting In the end. It was close enough to warrant a rematch and the rematch will be big money regardless of surgery.

Lying about it (or pulling out with a fake injury like Rigo) would be more damaging to his reputation that any positive outcome he could achieve. It’s a lot of work for no payout. I think they will fight again and will pay to see it. Lopez will be favored because he fought so well in the first fight. I’m just happy we have two guys who will fight anyone at their weight class. Too many guys taking a different route as Tank showed us last night.

This is why boxing needs an injury protocol like football. If you don't disclose injuries before a game you get fined. It's ridiculous! Guy says he's 100% days before the fight and immediately after, he had a bad shoulder and missed a week of training. And people want to give me **** for doubting him? LOL

If they are willing to jeopardize their chances fighting injured, so be it, literally their loss. sLomo's claim is right out of the post-Salido excuse book, just ignore it. Nelo, Gassiev, Federer, Nadal and Djokovic all had small, correctional surgeries scheduled, and competed at elite level before taking it on, so sLomo posting hospital pics don't retroactively make him a cripple in a fight he looked fine - young, talented Fimo just looked finer.

It is discrediting himself. Time will tell with teo. Can’t take nothing away from him on saying that he’ll compete w/ Haney, Ryan and Davis. Only time will tell on that

Only problem is, people are making bets on a guy claiming he's 100%. Plus, it takes away the importence of the victory. Think about it. A 23 year old, in the biggest fight of his life. He wins and immediately the win is tarnished because Loma had a bad shoulder going into the fight. That's a dick move.

Agreed, excuse making is a dikk move and sLomo made himself look like one, so his loss. Realistically no top athlete is without some pain and many do small correctional procedures announced or not. Even Fimo admitted had had pains entering camp, part of the game. We don't disagree, I just don't expect a fighter disclosing a disadvantage to the opponent and to gambling addicts who should know the risks before betting live savings. It's an unpredictable sport, which is why its so compelling.

Bump. Kambosos showed how limited Lopez is as a fighter. If there’s any fighter that should be considered basic that would be Lopez.
