I probably agreed with the two 115-113 scorecards. It was a close fight, with neither fighter really hurting the other, Usyk didn't really dominate as such, but deserved to be awarded the win.
Ok, so what about Chisora's CONSISTENT body shots throughout the fight? Those don't count? And what were these punches that Usyk was landing? Chisora would land like 20 hard body shots a round and Usyk barely got anything off except in rounds 7 and 8.
I really think people are kidding themselves about a boxing lesson from Usyk, he found life tough in there. I’d say 8-4 to Usyk and the 7-5 scorecards not completely stupid because of so many close rounds.
117-112 scorecard was accurate for me. Which means Usyk won 8, Chisora won 3, and one 10/10 round. That's fair enough assessment.
Chisora started the fight really well and you could maybe argue he's ahead at the midway point, but as the fight went on, the rounds were clearer for Usyk. I mean, Chisora showed a great chin and was clearly in great shape, I'd argue that's the best Chisora has ever looked in his career, he was throwing none stop and really pushing the action. But Usyk was so accurate and crisp with his punches, he won pretty much every exchange, snapped the head of Chisora over and over again and at times I felt he was only 2/3 punches away form forcing a stoppage. The fight was one sided in terms of the rounds as Usyk won pretty much every round of the fight. But it was very competitive in terms of what happened in the rounds, but Usyk was doing clearly the better work for me. I think I gave Chisora rounds 1 and 3, everything else to Usyk. Rounds 2 and 4 were close, but I would struggle agreeing with anyone giving Chisora any of the rounds from 5 onwards tbh. Just read the OP and looked at the poll results lol. Lol.
7-5 usyk or 6 a piece. Usyk is really going to struggle at heavy. Fury, haye, ancient vitali dealt with chisora handily
What is this awful comparison with Holyfield? All you did was point out the difference in their styles, not their levels.
I scored it 116-113 Usyk Thought the commentary from Adam Smith and Macklin was an absolute joke though, clearly agenda driven to talk up Usyk, it said it all when Macklin scored the first round for Usyk - WTF
