How do you view Oleksander Usyk's performance at heavyweight so far?

Yeah and I'd say he (Chisora) is not even top 10 in any respectable rankings, and has rarely cracked the top 10 in his career, if we're being sensible. I'd question if he's even worthy of consideration for a top 20.

Chisora is strictly "gatekeeper"/"trial horse" level.
Even if he was at his best, and I too think he's not.

It was fine, I think Chisora just outperformed the expectations many had going in.

It's worth considering too that these guys both obviously liked each other a lot and Usyk probably wasn't feeling especially motivated to take risks to try and seriously hurt Chisora once he had the fight in total control.

I don’t agree on waiting for AJ, but that’s because I don’t believe he can beat AJ now nor that he can gain the necessary tools to do so in the future unless AJ slips badly (and if that happens it will be a post-champion AJ so not someone he’d necessarily be aiming for).

Usyk’s best bet is to press the AJ fight and hope AJ drops the WBO belt and he can get a piece of the pie against a Dubois or some other greenhorn or never-was. Then force a big-money showdown to line his pockets for retirement.

I’m not saying Usyk is awful but off two fights at heavyweight he does not look special.

He didn’t look that great but that’s what Chisora does to fighters, he’s messy and awkward to fight.
Add in the fact that it’s Usyks debut at HW and the considerable amount of time out of the ring - makes sense.

He didn’t perform better than everyone else who fought Chisora before but he still won clearly.
KO/TKO wasn’t really an option anyway, he did lot him up quite good though, his combos where beautiful, movement and stamina was there.
Chisora did test Usyks chin too so I think it’s safe to say Usyk will do well at HW.
Not everyone is going to play pressure-bully stuff with him and even if they do, he clearly can handle it.

I hadn't realised that AS IF BY MAGIC, Daniel Dubois is now 2 in the WBC having been moved above Joe Parker. Which means he's in line to face Usyk should AJ vacate the belt.

When did the inscrutable Warren Boxing Organisation make this change?

Holyfield is the gold standard for PED cheaters. A reason why he did well at heavyweight. Without the Roids, how good would he have been.

Of the there best heavies, at least what were tough of 3 years ago I smell two frauds. Wilder is obviously one, and Fury by picking such weak title opponents ( 3 of his last 4 excluding Wilder ) is likely massively overrated. Usyk sure could beat those two.

Joshua is legit super heavyweight with skills who can box and punch. Not on the level of Klitschko or Lewis, he picks top title opponents. Yet he's also a little flawed defensively, doesn't control a fight with his jab and is is chinny vs. the solid hitters and above. I do not think Usyk hits hard enough to stop him, but he might out box him.

I'm thinking the Chisora that fought Vitali and Whyte would have stopped Usyk. He sure moved like molasses in this fight

He looked fine, the way he's supposed to look. Usyk, like his in-ring style, is slow to acclimate but once he gets settled in there's no one better. Watch him blitz whoever he's fighting next, providing that's not Joshua or Fury (he needs one more fight at the least before taking on one of those two).

Average but not unexpected. This guy just moved up from CW and has had 2 HW fights. He won both with little difficulty.

    I want to see more.
