Just listening to the boxing asylum pod and they’re on about Dave Allen and how he turned down fights against both Mark Bennett and Simon Valliliy for last Saturday as a replacement for Lovejoy. Apparently turned down Dubois for £250,000 and turned down Hughie Fury in the past too.
The people they like Whyte in with are all sluggers. Would have Kabayel as close to a max bet against Whyte assuming the market would be wildly UK bias. I dont buy the Chisora is much better now. When he fights actual boxers he looks ****.
Who Dillian Whyte has defeated twice, one of which resulting in a knockout. We'll ignore that, though, and give kudos to Kabayel for winning against a non-plussed Chisora in a snooze fest.
Wow, what a moron. That said I think all of them beat him LOL Dubois would be on a murder charge. Allen has changed, he used to want to fight, just fight, the old "have gum shield will travel" attitude but for "fair" money. Now I'm seeing him in interviews talking about how much he brings to PPV events, how he is basically selling them because he is so well supported, acting now like he is picking and choosing and speaking like it's all about the money. all the Eddie hype has gone to his head.
Surely @TonyHayers can come out of his self imposed thread lurking mode and shed some light on Eh Day's plans. Time @Aydamn also came out of hiding now that Pedvetkin has ducked Whyte.
I love it to be Hunter. Can't see Hearn being keen on put Whyte in with him though considering Hunter is no longer matchroom. Bakole makes perfect sense, bound to be a entertaining fight between him and Whyte and if Bakole causes the upset Hearn has a new star. Even if whyte wins, it will still be an entertaining fight and Bakole will make himself more known to the UK public. Hrgovic would also be a respectable opponent choice. Although Hrgovic seems uninterested inn stepping up in quality of opponent as of yet. I'd be disappointed in Chisora 3. I had Whyte winning the first by several points (brilliant fight though) and he KOed Chisora in their second fight.
This will likely happen now. And then Eddie will try and finagle Dillian into a title fight against Tyson Fury.
If I was Fury, I would take the Whyte fight on his terms. Fight probably does 1 million PPV buys, Fury could ask for a 75-25 split in his favour with a rematch clause. Fury wins the fight with relative ease.
Don't think it makes much sense for Fury to take the fight. He may as well wait for the outcome of Whyte vs Povetkin II and beat the man who comes out of that. How much kudos is Fury going to get beating a man who has just been brutally KO'd. Add to that, Fury would still need to face a WBC mandatory further down the line. Granted, Fury won't be taking on a better opponent on 5 Dec. But he won't be taking on one who was recently a highlight reel KO either.
Yea I don’t see any reason why the Whyte fight can’t be made here. Both looking for an opponent. All British affair. Good test for Fury. Big PPV buys. British fans aren’t going to care Whyte recently got knocked out by Povetkin. It’s a perfect scenario to make this fight really.
