How was Guillermo Jones able to be a welterweight and move up to Crusierweight and be a big Crusierweight?

Well, he was a good fighter and he was 6'4". (LOL) How many 6'4" welterweights do you see? Hell, you don't see many 6'4" cruiserweights. Paul Williams and Thomas Hearns were considered freakishly tall welters, and they were only 6'1".

Guillermo was talented and extremely tall for his weight most of his career.

The bigger question is how the hell was he ever a welter?

You're a bag of bones when you're 6'4" and 145. His skeleton made up nearly a third of his weight at that point.
