Exactly. Unless you're an English HW, then I don't know why you'd bother signing with Hearn. He's not a great Promoter despite what his fans/employees say.
Zhang...zhang needs to step up as soon as possible. So if zhang has any hope or confidence in his abilities then he needs tough fights now ( i believe he loses to filip though).
I can see where protecting Zhang makes sense. He sucks, but if he can pull Chinese fans to watching HW boxing, he is worth his weight in gold. I see him fighting no-hopers for the next couple of years then suddenly being given a title shot. He will get hurt badly at that point but will generate about a billion in revenue. Hrgovic is different. He has some ability. He could legitimatly make noise but he needs to develop. He has to start fighting B level fighters.
Dude is billed at 37, and is clearly much older. He hasn't got a couple of years, unless he wants to fight for the Tyson-Jones belt.
Parker, Hunter, Ruiz would all be solid fights for Filip, who cannot foist his current charade as 'King of the Cans' on the public much longer. His brand is stagnating as are his skills.
Zhang, even he knows he's not a star in China, a win over Hrgovic would give him some career momentum, and a loss would mean he at least faced with a pulse.
He should focus on the IBF belt, try to leapfrog Hunter and Ruiz Jr. in the rankings, then petition for a mandatory eliminator against Charles Martin. The important thing is to remain active. Even if it means facing Allen. Schwarz, Junior Fa, Mckean, Wallin should be his targets.
