If Anthony Joshua beats Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk will he finally get respect?

I feel Usyk is an amazing fighter and if AJ can beat him and Fury then his resume would be awesome, would beating these two really end any questions about AJ`s ability?

The forum praises usyk however if AJ beats usyk they'll just come up with excuses.

    " past prime tho?"

" 2017 usyk would of won?"

What's the reason he doesn't have the respect?

Joshua would be the favourite against Usyk so if people are hating on him already, they won't give him props for that. If he beats Fury then there's no way you can question his ability.

I mean, I respect him now. I think regardless of what happens, he will have a place as a great, it is just a matter of to what degree.

Not so much Usyk, but a win over Kronk Fury would certainly go along way in earning him respect.

Look, he already had respect but alot of the shine got taken away in the manner in which he lost to that fat slob Andy Ruiz. He certainly deserves credit for winning an immediate rematch, but he still came across as timid and gun shy in that fight.

I still want to see him fight Wilder, regardless what the haters say. Wilder still has the punch to make that fight dangerous

If he beats Usyk the he was too small and should have stayed at cruiser talk will start. But if he beats the recognized top fighter in the division which is Fury then that would really be a big notch on his record.

AJ won Heavyweight title in the squared circle, lost title in the ring and regained it in same fashion. Fury is the other champ he won title in squared circle, lost it through outside excesses and behaviours and regained it in the ring, of the 2 i say AJ has more of my respect on that basis than Fury does.

Who would win if they are both fit and eventually faced each other, i say Fury but that is yet to be proved.

If AJ beats Usyk i see it as just a good name on his record it would not make me respect him more.

Is this the same AJ who got KOd by Fat Andy? He came back and outboxed him in the rematch but whenever you get KOd against a guy like Ruiz, this is bound to happen. If he beats Fury, the top dog at HW at the moment, he will get the praise he deserves. He did beat Wlad but that was a much older version than the guy Fury beat. Usyk is a talented cruiser but the jury is still out on his HW legitimacy. AJ needs to beat Fury to cement his legacy.

Also, AJ got respect from fans when he won the Fat Andy rematch. He showed boxing skills many people didn’t think he had. It’s going to take even better skills to beat Fury but it’s definitely possible.

I've heard that Kalle is contemplating a UK's best vs the best from the US for the next season of the WBSS and that plans are afoot to match the winner of Fury vs AJ against Claressa Shields in a catch-weight bout next Summer.

AJ does not need to beat all of them to get a respect.

He already has plenty of respect. Olympic gold, world amateur silver. Two time HW champ. Three belt unified king and current consensus #2 and it would've been all four belts had he not been shamelessly ducked by the Tuscaloser from Tuscaloosa. He's also one of the biggest draws and stars in the sport.
