Instead of fighting George Foreman, Holyfield takes on the primest version of James J Braddock. I've been getting pretty high on Braddock, lately. I'd want to see him pull this one out of the bag.

A chance of getting KTFO'd? Yeah, I'd give him good odds.

Not a lot of people pulled that off. Joe Louis was the only one to KO him.

Holyfield wouldn't be among the top I'd predict to KO him.

I can see Jim getting a beating but lasting the distance.

I agree, Braddock would last the distance in clear, but exciting loss.

Braddock with his solid right hand connects and finishes Holy late, say the 12th or 13th round

If the fight is clean, Braddock has little chance. His best shot is a ND if Holyfield tested positive.

I don't think Braddock would have any answers for Holyfield's pressure and combinations. I'd be very surprised if he made it to the late rounds.

    A prime Holyfield stops him.

Yeah I know, I love Braddock. Thing is, Braddock only fought two men who better Holyfield as a HW puncher, and one of them (whom I regard as the GOAT heavyweight puncher) failed to stop him, while the other didn't.

The application of Holyfield's power would stop him, and if Baer had that kind of accuracy and speed, I'd pick him to KO Braddock too. Actually, I'd pick Baer from two fights earlier to KO him.

When Holyfield watches film of Jim Braddock, I wonder what he thinks to himself?

You think Max Baer is the all time great heavyweight puncher?
