Fury's always been able to dig huge shots to the body when he really goes for it. His clubbing right has a ton of power behind it when he steps into it as well. His left hook is pretty flimsy though.
I've rewatched that fight numerous times, probably more so than any other HW fight besides Tyson Holy 1 I didnt see it as much as huge shots being landed, just that for whatever reason Fury finally has started getting his full weight behind his punches. And at his height and weight that, you see the result. Fury still lacks that snap and speed that even a Wilder punch has, but you don't really need it when your that big. I think the cleanest punch he landed was that 5th round body punch that put Wilder down, but most where like that 3rd round shot that broke Wilders ear. It wasnt very clean or accurate, but just a brutally clubbing blow from a bigger guy
I think there was another one in round 3 just before the knock down where Fury comes in behind the jab and nails him, when I watched the fight live I thought that shot hurt Wilder (the commentators didn't really make much of it though) and subsequently contributed to him being put down shortly after by the shot you speak of that busted up Wilder's ear. I haven't watched it back since, but remember at the time thinking I was onto something.
when i used to box and i would get hit very hard and clean, i would often not go down,,,,,,,, however, i would be so focused on not going down and trying to keep balance that my reaction time would go down greatly,,,,,,, thus i would be in such a defensive mode trying to focus on thinking clearly and doing the right things that i would often get hit two or three more times before i could figure out that i was getting the crap beaten out of me,,,, i think this could be what happens to Wilder, he gets stunned but stays up which in some ways is awesome but in other ways not so much, lol, i may hate Wilder in many ways but i love watching him fight decent fighters, he has got heart and thats why i watch him
i still respect him for his effort in the fight,,,, now as far as personally how he has acted after the fight,,,, well yes i know exactly what you mean,
Do you actually post anything about boxing on here or is your whole life dedicated to trashing Wilder. He must be the boogey man to you.
Wilder has a decent chin as shown against Ortiz where he somehow survived that onslaught in the seventh without even going down. He seems to recover alright too, not like Fury can but he's no Joshua either.
