Yes coupled with him being wreckless. Bentt shot was perfect, mercer was accumulation, not one shot, Lewis tbf could hurt anyone. Morrison had stamina issues if anything. If he was dedicated for this fight he wins

    Morrison had a weak chin.

Spinks didn't have a chin or body to take hat Morrison offered. Assuming Morrison is focused and in shape, I'd pick him.

This would be a lot like the Gerry Cooney fight. He would be hit a little and maybe his face would swell, but Michael would come on and stop Tommy maybe more like the 8th round and not 5, but he would stop him.

This. Spinks couldn't take the punch...it's not like Cooney was landing flush on him during their fight.

Morrison would have a chance if he can get to Spinks early in the fight within the first 5 rounds if the fight goes any further then that I'd look for Spinks to get the win likely a mid to late stoppage.

There's no reason to believe Morrison would be finding Spinks' chin with his best punches.
He struggled badly to get past a washed up Carl Williams FFS, a fighter who was vulnerable to left hooks and a bit chinny.

There's a better reason to believe that its silly to predict a victory based on a stoppage loss within 8 rounds.

Furthermore, Williams was 6'5 with a very long 85' reach. . Spinks was 6'2 with a tiny 76' reach.

If Spinks was a HW with HW dimensions he would win , but he isn't. H's a natural 175 pounder and would get slept brutally if he stepped into the ring with the best version of Morrison which was the one who beat Foreman.

    Morrison was garbage.
I'm not sure why you overrate him so much.

The only fighter Morrison has trouble reaching and hitting in his entire career was Lennox Lewis. If you disagree, list the names.

Do you really think Spinks who lasted 91 seconds vs Tyson and was floored by a body shot would last vs Morrison?

Also Williams hit harder than Spinks and actually had a really good jab.

Hipp hit harder than Spinks, so did Foreman. Spinks was blow up light heavy, not sure why you feel the way you do.

I knew before the Mercer fight that Tommy wasn't even the fighter prime Jerry Quarry was. But he had a really good shot and hey, he's one of the handful of people who beat George Foreman.

A lackadaisical Spunks destroys the pinnacle of Morrison.

Well he arguably beat Holmes twice, and even that version of Larry was much, much better than Morrison. I'm not sure why you bring up the Tyson loss when Morrison lost in similar fashion to a nobody. I'd be willing to bet Spinks hit alot harder than Bentt

I'd favor Spinks, possibly by later stoppage. Morrison deffo has the proverbial punchers chance, if he did happen to land a clean hook on Spinks all bets are off. Spinks doesn't hit overly hard at heavyweight. He hit Cooney squarely a heap of times in rapid succession and Cooney still finished on his feet. Cooney IMO didn't have the best chin either and was in pretty crap shape comparative to years prior. But i'd still back Spinks.
