I think Ortiz' winning punch will be a counter short right hook on the inside.

ortiz training with a man in a gorilla costume. all he needs is his cuban comrade odlanier solis' diamond studded sponge bob pendant and he's good to go.

This is still a top 5 resume for the current era.
Tyson Fury almost got KTFOed by a swedish cab driver recently, and his best victory in the last 5 years is Sefer Seferi, who is not even in top 100 and doesn't even train anymore.

One year anniversary of my thread which didn't age well, despite Ortiz winning every second of the fight until Wilder punched the soul out of him :(

It was a british stoppage. Luis was up at nine and ready to go. We saw what happened with Povetkin and Whyte, never count the old man out. Hopefully there will be a trilogy.

Ortiz can now be considered a gate keeper. He is old and done as a serious contender.

Ranked 3rd by the WBC. Might get a crack eventually.
Or he beats Ruiz and gets a shot at a belt.

Respect for bringing your thread back even though you were wrong. I'm still shocked by the fight, Ortiz was winning every single round until he got dropped by Wilder. As much as I detest Wilder even I must admit he has a crazy amount of power in that right hand of his.
