He's the most talented boxer in the sport but he needs to shut his detractors up and his with better competition. He's better than all of the welterweights out there.

Arguably but difficult to look past Canelo for now

This and Book did reasonably well in the first three rounds.

Loma was for me until he faced Lopez. And the thing is that Crawford yet has to face a Lopez - a really good fighter in his third weight class.

If Mikey Garcia had played it as relatively safe as Crawford, he'd probably have at least as good a case for the nr 1 spot as well.

So, yeah, I wouldn't say it's wrong to have Bud nr 1 p4p, but it is by no means emphatic.

Calm down dear, let's see him fight a live bod first is it.

Jeez, if you judge that on him beating shell brook, then there's nothing left to say but lol

All the constant P4p talk about fighters is really grinding on me now.

The most annoying rubbish bull poop term ever.

He's fought a lot of average fighters and fighters who are gimpy (Benavidez with a bad leg and Brook with half a face). I do think Bud is very good though. He still hasn't fought any great fighters though. He's going to have to move up in weight more than likely.

It's a shame he stayed loyal to Top rank for so long; he's 33 and his biggest wins come from a shot Kell Brook, a washed up Amir Khan, a small fighter in Gamboa and an overrated fighter in Postol.

That quartet doesn't scream elite competition whatsoever. He's definitely HOF bound but because of his allegiance to TR, he can't be perceived as an ATG unless he does something magnanimous with the remainder of his career. He's already getting up there in age and who knows how much longer he'll fight.

He should've followed in DLH and Mayweather's footsteps and left TR at least 3 years ago. Him fighting guys like Garcia, Porter, Spence and Thurman would've done wonders for his resume.

I still have a hard time considering him the best P4P fighter. He's a skillful boxer, no doubt, but his level of competition is C+ at best. I hope he's getting paid well by Arum at least.

Crawford isn't the best anything in till he faces the best man at 147

    Errol Spence

Feasting on a shot Brook & Khan doesn't mean squat. Brook lost the moment he had to drop 20 pounds to make weight.

It would be like Fury fighting Povetkin, Pulev, Parker and not fighting AJ or Wilder or a legit champ.

You can't claim to be the best till you fight the best. Crawford hasn't beat anyone.

Canelo is above him p4p due to resume, but nobody that struggles with an old, shot Chisora is close to p4p #1. Top ten maybe.

You have to beat the best to be the best.
Let’s line up Spence, Garcia, Thurman, Porter and maybe a few others before we start circle jerking into a mad bliss

I love watching Bud box but he has not been truly tested outside of an old Gamboa.

Bud is a masterful boxer but he needs some real time names on his resume.
I rank him highly based on his skill set but if he is number one we might as well say his Mom is number 2 P4P

    I agree.
People talk about it as if it is real.
    It's absolute nonsense.
