She dispatched her opponents with ease and sometimes in seconds. -She was hyped up to an unimaginable extent. Some people called her the female Mike Tyson -All the praise and fame got to her head and she got arrogant and said things like she could beat most men, and possibly Cain Valesquez and Floyd Mayweather -Had a terrible attitude to opponents, telling one of her opponents "don't cry" -Was very disrespectful to Holly, tried to start a fight with her at the weigh ins, called her a fake humble person, refused to touch gloves. -Holly absolutely outclassed her, headkicked her and the majority of fans celebrated. -Based on social media page comments, people are still celebrating the Holly KO of Ronda What were your initial predictions for the fight? Who do you support? What was your reaction? Thoughts on Ronda now?
Not only did she say she could beat Mayweather but joe rogan was saying it too. Apparently she would just grab him, secure the takedown then lock in the armbar which begs the question of why she didn’t just do that to Holm and Nunes?
I can't decide what was more hilarious, Holly knocking Ronda out Or Ronda telling every one to "Fear the return" and comes back and gets annihilated in 48 seconds by Amanda Nunes
I missed the fight and can’t forget seeing the alert on my phone and my eyes almost popped out of my head. I immediately googled the video and couldn’t believe it. The only thing more satisfying was seeing Nunes utterly destroy her (live this time).
Loved it, as others have said enjoyed Nunes destroying her more. The lead up to the Nunes fight was all about how Ronda had this improved boxing etc. Nunes received pretty much eff all promotion and was there to be an easy win. Holly did get some hype behind her before her fight. Against Nunes it was Ronda looking like a spoilt brat in the lead up. Then in the fight it was head movement head movement from the coach , then a lot of crying after Amanda beat her like a drum. This content is protected
Was lucky enough to be there and watch it live and while i always felt like Holm was a bigger threat then the pre fight odds but was still in bit of shock when it happened ,like the majority of people in what was the attendance record at the time. Even after Holm had won the opening round, the people i was with and the others sitting around us still expected it just a matter of time before Rousey would submit her,the excitement and aptmoshere during that fight and when she got finished made up for what was mostly forgettable undercard fights, with the most noise of the night before the main event coming from the mexican wave.
Rousey was a one trick pony and had no stand up skills, if she had proper training she could have been a great fighter, the game has moved on simple as that.
my reaction was why are you over-extending and putting your chin in the air against a proven boxer? saw it coming.
