When I read "knocked out cold", I think of John Tate against Mike Weaver or Ingemar Johansson vs. Floyd Patterson.

Speaking of, Tate went 14-2 after the Weaver fight ("earning" a title shot at Holmes, which he pulled out of due to an injury) and Johannson went 4-1 over the rest of his career, including the great third fight with Patterson. But I don't think these necessarily qualify as "comebacks", as these guys never reached the heights they reached before being knocked cold.

Neither would I count Michael Dokes going 9-0 and "earning" a title shot vs. Bowe after being knocked cold by Ruddock.

As I'm a heavyweight guy, I'm having a hard time coming up with anyone knocked out face-first cold (not guys who just didn't make the 10 count) who came back to be a serious contender. I'm sure there's someone, but I can't think of any other than the previously mentioned John Ruiz.

Jersey Joe Walcott came back from his knockout against Rocky Marciano to get kayoed by Rocky in the first round of their rematch. Does that count?

Actually, he came back from his knockout at the hands of Joe Louis in 1948 to win the heavyweight title from Ezzard Charles in 1951.

By beating Barkley, who beat Hearns twice, Duran completely discredited the “triangle theory.”

Terry Norris went on to become number one P4P after KO2 by Julian Jackson.
Pacquiao has come back nicely from Marquez.

The Terry Norris knockout was most surprising. Terry was just out cold. and Julian landed an extra punch when he stood there still. Terry had a good career after being stopped a few times. Hearns did also, although I guess Tommy was never knocked cold in reality. I mean Duran was not really out cold against Hearns either if we look at the term out cold. He was trying to sort of get up when he went down. The Norris fight was as cold a knockout as can be found. The worst knockouts I have seen is Michael Nunn against Enzo Macarenelli which was devastating one punch knockout, as was his knockout against that other cruiserweight Lebedev. Jones should not be fighting at all anymore.. Even an exhibition.

Manny did seem out cold against Marquez. I always thought that knockout had to do with his foot hitting Marquez foot and distracting him for a split second.

Jimmy Cable won the European Light Middleweight Title after being starched by Buster Drayton. Pat Cowdell did it twice, after Nelson and the first Daho fight.

Kirkland Laing came back from his twin destructions against Colin Jones to beat Duran and regain the British Welterweight Title.
Did Clinton McKenzie win the British Light Welter Title back after he was iced by Tony Mckenzie ?

Marlon Starling against Tomas Molinares. He got knocked out and broke his leg falling! Didn’t remember anything so maybe that helped. Came back & dominated Honeyghan.

Both Lennox and Norris were stopped on their feet. I don't know how Norris managed to stumble up on his feet, I've got to give him a lot of credit for managing to do that after taking those monster bombs from Jackson.
