People are just so obsessed with fights having an 'impact' on the sport, can't we all just wish for a fight to be good entertainment anymore without it having to be some sort of epoch making event?

Actually this could do A LOT for Roy jones should he win. I know that it's not likely but I have a gut feeling Roy will pull out the victory and be impressive in doing so. If he beats Joe....RJJ will be back on top of the boxing world. Maybe not #1 P4P but he'll be where he was at before the 1st Taver loss. It's just interesting to see how this plays out.

If Jones ****s this up and puts on a **** performance that's it for him. If he clams up he'll be derided forever.

Joe Calzaghe in January this year:

"Roy Jones was a great fighter but not a great fighter anymore.. he's been KO'd twice in summat like his last 5 fights so I don;t see it as a motivating fight for me either so after this fight(Hopkins fight) the number one fight will be Kelly Pavlik, Jermain Taylor, one of them two.."

Joe's pretty good at that though. Like when he used to talk about wanting to fight Jones in his prime but never even moved division.

Lets not forget that this is a fight betwen a European Legend and an American Legend.

RJJ is easily the most talented fighter in 15 years or so and Calzaghe propably is top 5 in that category. This is a fight I am looking forward to see - especially because of the styles clash etc. Dont count RJJ out of this btw, dudes.
