Conditioning, professionalism, adapting to opponents (see Griffin), stalking, left hook to liver.

In combination punching & bodywork. Not lesser, but I feel that Canelo does better in those aspects.

Bodywork I could see the argument for, but James threw some combos Canelo could only dream of.

Obviously he's never seen Toney fight. Especially in his prime. Toney could do things in a boxing ring Canelo could only dream about.
I can almost guarantee Mayweather Jr. Wouldn't have had anything to do with prime Toney when he was at 40 pro fights.
Mayweather would've seen a fighter just as skilled as he was, but bigger.

James was way to big for Floyd. Always has been always will be. it's not even a fair fight with the size gap.

Even Toney admits that Floyd was better at the shell defense than he (Toney) was. Btfo.

Where did he say that? I doubt it.Anyway, Floyd was a defense first fight.

Anyway, Floyd was leagues better on the outside, had a much superior offensive package (lead rights, lead non-leaping hooks, jabs to the body, leaping hooks, etc.; Toney had none of these from what I've seen except maybe the body jab), and was better at the shell defense (because Floyd kept his right hand at the right side of his head/body, which allowed him to defend against left hooks and parry jabs easily without squaring up; Toney always kept his right hand on his left shoulder, which made him very susceptible to left hooks and forced him to square up to parry jabs). Floyd was also a superb glove blocker and defender with the elbow (in numerous fights you can see him catching overhand rights with his left glove or left elbow) while Toney used neither of those defensive techniques. So to conclude, Floyd was vastly superior in every possible way.

I can absolutely guarantee that Mayweather would have clowned prime Toney at 152lb even worse than Canelo.
