Illness on Fa's side has sadly scuttled the fight. Organizers are hoping to reschedule in Feb or so. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/bo...seph-parker-fight/NUOJ2MPHQNCDKNS2CFVSBUPJIQ/
Are you kidding? **** these cancellations.. I mean it was a meh fight anyway but still wanted to see Parker fight cba to wait around for all this ****
I'm just wondering how the results of a blood test leads to Fa having to have surgery? For what ?? Looks highly suspicious to me. I feel sorry for Joseph Parker
Maybe Dempsey McKean can step in. And I know this one is fanciful, but how about Usyk jumping in there? Christ, sounds like Fa really shouldn't be boxing in the first place.
Dude looks nothing like he did in the amateurs. Whatever it is, it seems to have affected him massively. Or he has just gotten lazy and fat.
No way should they cancel the promotion. Make Demsey McKean an offer he can't refuse & let's get it on. McKean has amassed a decent unbeaten record. Now it's time to cash it in & make some money. Fight Joseph Parker in December & Justis Huni first up next year.
Was gonna say Joseph Goodall. He's not getting any younger but damn, just checked boxrec - how the hell did he not beat Tsoye?!!
Not sure if he had the shoulder surgery that he required and if so, has he recovered from it. He arguably beat Tsyoe the 2nd time aswell but fought a bit silly, possibly pushing for a knock-out after clearly outpointing him the first time. I don't hold high hopes for him. I think his AFL background gives him a good engine that helped him overachieve as an amateur because he could fight frantically for those short bouts and not get particularly tired. But he is only an ok prospect..needs to fight Meehan after both have a warm up hitout after their layoffs. McKean is an ok short notice substitute..maybe. He has nothing to lose and is ranked, I think. So it makes sense for him. Actually a bit of a risky bout for Parker as he hasn't been training for a rangy southpaw who is a relative novice. That just is asking for headclashes and risk of injury.
