I think the Whyte v Povetkin rematch was the reason Dubios v Joyce isn't ppv. Running a ppv a week later would have been too risky.

As for AJ v Fury price. Wouldn't this price be agreed on both sides and not Eddie Hearn. That would be a joint ppv would it not so BT will have there say on pricing.

I politely disagree here because if both were PPV, the Dubois v Joyce fight wins every time.

Also paying a score to this only helps AJ buy a yacht or something. Would prefer to give a score towards a small hall show

Around 5% of the UK population (over 16) are currently unemployed, and a huge percentage of those lucky enough to be employed have taken a significant impact on their earnings to the point that they cannot keep up their mortgage payments. It’s also Christmas...but they’re charging £25 for a PPV. Absolutely shocking. There’s no empathy at all for the public. I won’t be paying (that’s becoming a habit).

If Chisora vs Usyk, with that **** undercard, is £20.00 why then would AJ's fights not be more?

If anything people should be complaining about the fact that we even had to pay for that **** with Usyk/Chisora. One of the worst undercards I've ever seen.

Not a chance. After the first Whyte v Povetkin fight due the way it ended the rematch would have at a minimum 300k buys.

Now I know Frank likes to "do it for the fans" but if you believe it does more than that then that means the fighters, BT and Warren were walking away from over 300k ppv buys. I don't think that's the case.

The first date was announced as a ppv was it not?

Not forgetting BT have Jones v Tyson running the same night as a PPV so could they really have tried to sell two ppv's on the same night?

It is more having to listen to AJ talk about how tough the years been. How he wants to do this for his fans. If he gave any **** he could fight for Y million instead of X million

£25 for old man Pulev in the main event and Hughie and Okolie on the undercard. Yikes.

    It shouldn't have been £20.

I didn't buy that one either for the same reason.

They've sought to make £20 the 'new normal' and thus justify another fiver for the premium AJ fight. Well bollocks to that.

Taking the **** at that price in this current climate!

people are lucky to still have jobs since Covid and can barely get some change together to buy Xmas presents for the family.

it should be free to air really like they did with the football during the last lockdown

    I won’t be paying , sorry

It's quite simple, if there is no gate revenue (because of a global health pandemic), Joshua and Pulev should just accept a lower purse. That is exactly what is happening in other sports such as football where players of some clubs have had to take wage cuts or wage deferrals because their club are no longer receiving match day gate revenue.

Well that is complete nonsense because Whyte-Povetkin has now been postponed and there is still not PPV for Dubois v Joyce.

Except it’s not because they know people will buy it, a bit like how pubs know people will buy pints at 6 quid. Just because you’re not there’s people out there who will. Just to let you know, I would never buy a PPV for 25 quid and certainly not this one, I’m just pointing out facts.
