I now think that too and can’t believe it either. Benn is awkward and looks busy and sharp but only if you can’t hurt him which I don’t think Kelly can.

I'm presuming you must have moved to Cornwall then?

To be honest I'm not really that assed about who's the manager anymore, they come and go, I was born a Nobber so will be there regardless of who manages/plays for us either way.

Chuck the money at Kownacki and get him over in January for the Whyte vs Povetkin 2 undercard , I want Babic vs Kownacki.

They are stablemates and Wardley would beat him easily anyway, Lartey vs Babic would be good

Nah, mate. Still in Preston, just a nickname. For me, it's just pub, walk to the game, back to the pub, the game doesn't matter really as you said.

Benns always had good potential imo. Always thought that from the first time i i i i seen him. Hes actually pretty naturally talented.

Just doesnt have the boxing iq for it tho. Dont want to sound negative....because he,s a good fighter. But hes missed out too much boxing and doesnt have the natural boxing brain to make up for it. His old man looked similar but benn was actually a smart fighter. He knew exactly what he was doing in there even though it sometimes looked like he never.

Connor doesnt quite get it. I still think he thinks his old man just had the warrior heart. Benn knew when to stick the big punches in. Connor tries to throw everything big. Just gonna end up overtired when he comes up against a smarter fighter than tonight. Too predictable. That guy tonight looked extra durable and tbf he was but its easier when you know every punch their throwing is full power. The guys that will hurt you is the guys that mix it up. Nigel did tend to throw big but he hit guys from angles when they we,rent expecting it a lot. You know whats coming from connor. Better guys will soak it up and end up drowning him.

Cant say too much negative because he done well tonight...big improvement and entertaining fighter to watch. Hes done great tbh. Take my hat off to both eubank and benns son. These kids probably dont actually need to box. But there dedicating themselves regardless. Doing well considering both didnt really get started before it was almost too late.

Benn boxed well last night and looks to have significantly improved.

Styles make fights though and with the benefit of hindsight Formella was a very safe opponent for Conor and just like Nigel was susceptible to boxers who had a good jab and a solid chin, Conor's downfall will be against solid punchers. Someone like Kerman Lejarraga would destroy Conor in a couple of rounds, because he leaves his head their to be hit, and is wide open to a counter right hand.

Conor v Josh Kelly would be a great fight though.

According to the British Boxing Board, Benn withdrew from a British title fight with Chris Jenkins. How strange that Sky didn't mention this.

I wouldn't rule out Hearn putting that on as a PPV headliner, I kid you not.

Very good performance from Benn. Clearly big improvements, big props to him and Tony Sims for that. His speed, punch variety and work rate impressed me. Still over reaching and spinning around when over extending throwing some shots, needs to stop that or that will be his downfall. He also needs to realise he isnt his dad and isnt a huge puncher and stick to his strengths. Just when you respect his performance and then he ruins it by opening his mouth at the end. He came across a right clown in post fight interview.
