Do you think you can punch as hard as Malignaggi or Chris Algieri?

I do punch harder than them but I’m also a former pro and I have almost 100lb on them. It’s not hard to punch as hard as these 2 guys, I bet we could go to a random high school and find some athletic kids that could punch as hard as them, but, what Paulie&Chris have over most ppl (even high level fighters) is speed, accuracy, reflexes and they are very tough.

Punching hard and connect in a fight is not as easy as it looks, especially not when the opponent is punching back and moving. Anyone that been in a ring knows that.

I’m not a fan of either guy but it’s no denying that they are very tough, even though they can’t crack a egg with their fists. So yeah, most ppl do punch harder than them but it doesn’t mean that they could beat them in a boxing match.

I can definitely punch harder than either of them.

But they can punch consistently for at least 12 rounds. I can't atm.

I dont punch very hard, but Im 195lbs, in ok shape, and have been punching throughout my life.

I expect I hit harder than Malignaggi. Pretty sure he doesnt even punch with full force due to hand issues.

This. It's the other small details that are difficult. Moving your head after you punch and all that

I know I can, In way bigger than them and have fought in the am's mostly at 178 but had a couple at 201 and 165 too. I was a really physically gifted fighter and athlete period. It ended up being a detriment to me, stunted my growth as a fighter and lowered my ceiling.

The boxing brain - that's what is more important than anything. Everyone thinks Usyk is so fast of hand and foot - and he's not slow - but its the speed of his boxing mind that makes him special. Mayweather's speed above 130-135 was overrated as hell too, it was how blazingly fast his mind did everything inside the ring that made him appear faster than he was.

People are giving Malignagi too much respect. I won't speak on Chris Algeri, but Malinagi likely does not punch as hard as your average female boxer. Not only do I think many here can punch harder than Malignagi, but most in this forum can probably slap harder than Malignagi can punch.
