Since neither took a great punch well, Shavers by early knockout, since he is afterall much more powerful.

I think Donovan ruddock stops shavers in 3 rds !!!!!! Especially that massive version of ruddock at 238 lbs against Tyson in the rematch he looked friggin huge …. 3 rds ruddock

Not sure if you watched the Tyson fight where Ruddock broke his jaw and kept fighting till the end of the fight........
Donovan certainely could take a much better punch than Earnie my friend!

To me that was an anomaly for Ruddock, plus the Smith fight. However, Shavers also had anomalies. Like his fights with Roy Williams and Jeff Sims, and he went life and death with Lyle and Holmes.

I don't know about "easy", Ruddock had very leaky defense and could turn his brain off. He did dig deep to win some fights such as against Smith getting off the floor. Then again, Shavers also has rare moments of tenacity against Williams and Simms.

Ruddock having an easy night taking Shavers out early without getting tagged hard himself is a possibility given Ruddock's comparably powerful punches, but I wouldn't bet one nickel either way. Anything can happen and neither had very good defense or gas tanks on average.

Your wrong / shavers coming in and without the head movement of Tyson is gonna get smacked with that uppercut / styles make fights and Donovan ruddock is all wrong for Earnie shavers / ruddock stops him in 7 rds !!!!!!!!!
