Gonna go with Rahman here.
Vitali Klitschko is a three time belt holder and he easily has the better resume, but this is unsurprisingly another thread of yours in an attempt to diminish Vitali Klitschko. You forgot to include Hasim Rahman's 9 losses. Boxing is not a game of Arcade Coin Pusher, you don't just get to have as many goes as possible until you strike it lucky. Losses count toward resume, too. Vitali's two losses were not at all related to the other guy proving superior - he was ahead on both cards. If I didn't think he was such an honourable man I'd wager that he pumped your other half!
Hey I didn’t mention losses. Vitali probably would have had More losses if he fought at the level of Rahman TBH. Vitali pump my other half? He can do better than that
Hasim Rahman has only two good wins: Lewis and Sanders. One was a great win, but a lucky punch against an unfocused opponent who easily beat him in the rematch. Vitali Klitschko has had about ten good wins (no great wins) including several undefeated opponents: Solis, Kirk Johnson, Gomez, Donald, Puritty, Peter, Sanders, Hide, Williams (he was a good heavyweight in 2004), and prime undefeated Arreola. Losses should be taken into account too. If that wasn't the case, Holyfield would be undoubtly ranked by everybody as the second greatest HW of all time after Muhammad Ali. Rahman was KO'ed twice by Oleg Maskaev while being in his prime. Maskaev too the first fight on the short notice and still KTFOed Rahman through the ropes. Inthe second fight Maskaev was washed up 37 y.o. fighter with five KO losses in his career and he still managed to KO Rahman. Old Holyfield used Rahman as his punching bag, John Ruiz beat him quite easily as well. At 40+ Vitali was beating decent guys like Chisora and Adamek, while Rahman at 41 got beaten by a bum with 3-3 record
I'll take the consistency of Vitali over the one career best performance of Rahman. On his night Rahman is a tough day at the office for anyone but he was way too inconsistent and would likely lose to vk head to head
Here’s Rahman in his prime at 29 yrs old getting pasted by a shot Holyfield. This content is protected
This HAS to be a troll thread... or at least an agenda driven one. Vitali, for all the reasons listed above. Vitali every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
Instead of a lucky 1 punch KO win that Lewis quickly revenged Vitali had done something far greater He absolutely destroyed Lewis for 6 rounds and was cruising to a KO victory until an unlucky cuts stoppage occured. Lewis then proceeded to duck a career payday and was sent to retirement early by Vitali Klitschko, who later quickly became champ and dominated the HW division never being dropped or down on the score cards for the rest of his career. Vitali is still the greatest H2H fighter in history. Never knocked down, never down on score cards, one of the highest KO percentages of all time. Eternal WBC champ. Living legend.
I remember there was at a time on boxing forums where people ranked James Toney #1 at HW and swore that he would beat Vitali. I really don't wish harm on anyone and because of how one sided a beatdown by Vitali onto James Toney would be I would agree that I'm glad that the fight never materialized.
