Eddie Hearn V Joe Gallagher

Callum Johnson has had a pathetic career in terms of activity and Hearn can’t really be blamed for that. I personally just don’t think he wants it enough. Some of the stuff coming out of Gallaghers mouth is so pathetic, I can’t have any sympathy for any of his kids.

Other fighters on both sky and BT have had to cut their cloth according to the financial situation, so I don’t get why Gallagher and Callum Johnson/ Smith etc can’t do the same.

Ok, he’s a mega millionaire but AJ is losing a ton of cash for fighting Pulev now, Chisora/Usyk took less money and Dubois and Joyce had to take a massive haircut, Yarde probably has been hit in the pocket for his lockdown fight with Spelman.

Josh Kelly seems to be a waste of time inside and outside of the ring, Fitzgerald has a screw loose and has been in and out of HMP, so who knows what his future is.

Warrington was signed partly due to his big draw in Leeds, which most likely made up a lot of the financials of his contract. Without this, his commercial value is completely diminished, so it doesn’t surprise me that Eddie is struggling to sort his situation out, especially if Josh doesn’t want the haircut.

Weighing everything up- Hearn has got a very problematic situation with his stable financially in comparison to Frank, who outside of his big hitters: Fury, Dubois, Yarde has a stable largely made up of enthusiastic young guns, who he has managed to get out at least 1 if not twice through lockdown.

It’s little wonder we are being served up such complete dog muck like the women’s card on Saturday.
