I scored that fight 118-112 to Parker I thought that Hughie's performance was pathetic. Running away all fight flicking your powder puff jab, which is mainly missing, isnt winning you a fight.
Hughie made Parker miss all night! It was a crap fight to watch but hughie outboxed him I had him winning 8-4. Could tell on Parkers face that he thought he'd lost before the scores got read.
Sweet soprano Jesus singing in the heavenly choir in the clouds...you are really going to cite fights that are 7-11 years old? Wilder legit won two rounds by knocking Fury down, which Parker can't do. Fair play on Wallin...but christ!
Why not cite fights that old? It's been 5 years since Fury last fought someone of Parker 's quality or better. Why can't Parker knock down Fury? Cunningham and Pjakic did. Whilst all of Fury recent opponents the past 5 years with the exception of the very flawed and limited Wilder have been fighters outside the top 40.
Yes Hughie did make Parker miss a lot, but Parker was the only one trying to force the issue, and whatever he did land was still far more than what Hughie had to offer. Hughie barely landed anything all night. Easy 116-112 victory for Parker in a shocking fight (due to Hughie running a marathon and refusing to stay still and go toe to toe).
I had Parker winning comfortably. As you said it was just Hughie Fury flicking out that weak jab which mainly came up too short, Parker would close the distance, Parker would throw a big right of which most missed as Hughie would clinch and Parker would land a short weak shot or twoon the inside and the ref would break them up. Repeat that 10,000 over and that was the entire fight (the most boring fight I've ever seen).
Parker, easily. Parkwr would Close the distance, put Wilder on the back foot rendering him useless as he can't box on back foot. Wilder has never fought anyone remotely close to Parkers hand speed and would struggle with Parkers power.
The only big shots that landed the entire fight and there were probably on 8 were by Parker. All of the aggression and ring generalmanship was Parker's. As you say, it was one of the most boring fights of living memory. You need to be a fangirl to claim to Hughie won that.
You're entitled to your opinion of course but I disagree. The only fighters I think I would've favoured to beat Wilder (Pre-Fury 2) were Fury and Joshua. I think really your motivation is to criticise Wilder in an attempt to detract from Fury's win.
Parker is so overrated here it's unbelievable. Every single big fight he's been in, he's looked unconvincing. He's just not that good. People can go on about how Hughie's jab was powderpuff, but at least it was landing occasionally. You're literally giving rounds to Parker for charging forward and hitting thin air. That's not how you score a contest. I remember about 5 of Parker's punches landing on Hughie's face the entire night. Pathetic. People go on about Parker being athletic with fast hands. If that's the case, then what was stopping him hitting the pathetic Hughie with regularity? Surely a world champion can cut off the ring to a supposed British level boxer.
Parker is so average its unreal Lucked out to win a belt and cashed it in Since then drifting away beating bum after bum
