Haven't watched the fight in full, seen highlights, I will sit through it at some point today. But from what I saw, he looked pretty average, but that doesn't mean we write him off just yet, the pandemic/lockdown has caused fighters all sorts of problems. From not getting the right sort of sparring partners to struggling without that crowd buzz, so I'll give him a pass for last night. Bottom line he got the W, that's all that matters, he kept himself active and that important.
Isn't Yoka promoted by Top Rank who has Fury signed to them as part of that ESPN deal? It's always possible Bob makes that fight at some stage if Fury comes out that quagmire of fights you've mentioned with the belts. Though I doubt Yoka beats Fury barring some freak accident like the one that led to Charles Martin being a world champion. Nobody could of imagined Andy Ruiz Jr being unified heavyweight champion or that Martin would have a title or that Charr would have some kind of world title. In boxing weird things can happen.
Tony Toka has about as much of a chance of winning a world title as Dave Allen. He's not very good and his dodgy chin will be exposed soon enough.
I'm not sure about his chin but I agree with you. For an Olympic gold medalist he's outright shiteful!
That's because he should of never of won gold, he shouldn't of even gotten silver as Hrgovic beat him too. In reality he's an Olympic Bronze medalist or he would be if AIBA were not so corrupt and incompetent, no wonder the IOC stripped them of their Olympic status.
He was beckoning Cristian ''Covid'' Ciocan aka Hammer in with a false bravado ''let's have it'' show of defiance only to duck his head back down behind an airtight guard immediately afterwards
Yoka puts his punches together well and has decent foot speed but he just doesn't look like a guy who is going to tear up the division. I thought Hammer was competitive in every round and maybe would have done better bar the head butt and eye injury early on. Was never in any real trouble from Yoka's shots and landed a fair few. Yoka is definitely there to be hit, has quite a long neck and his head sticks right up with his chin in the air. A guy with more speed than Hammer is going to hit that target.
Yeah, that was exactly my point. I repeat: I don't think it is too much of a stretch to say that ANYONE could be a world champion.
