It was probably scripted. Let's face it, the marketing guys had their work cut out with these two. No problem selling the fight to hardcore fans, but for the wider audience getting Dubois or Joyce to turn Broner was never going to happen. This was probably the best they could come up with.

It was an unfortunate incident all round. Joe should not have been having his mother sat there asking mocking questions about Daniel pulling out of fight in the AMs. It was a press conference for the media to ask questions - not mother’s. Dubois who is not a confident speaker at the best of times, was clearly annoyed and blurted out his responce without engaging (or having the ability too) his brain. The fact that she is blind, put even more pressure on Daniel in his responce.
