As opposed to Pauls whopping.... one fight experience lol. He did barely any sparring at all for this fight too due to his broken nose. Also, fighting people that just run at you like nate did is way more akward than it looks. You can often look better against people actually boxing with you than you can against people running at you n grabbing you like that. And pick whatever cruiser you want to KO nate quicker... they likely have had more than one fight. You realize this is the equivalent of Jakes second amature fight right? The dude flatlined a grown man in his second ever fight. I dont care how little experience nate has... the guy is a high level athlete that trained to go in there and beat Jake up. Line up the fighters on this forum n lets see their second fight ever, Id wager most look worse than Jake did. Meh. You and I have two different definitions of 'awful', thats all.
Just saw Tyson Jones for an exhibition that really had some great exchanges. Both men looked fantastic in there considering their age. Makes you wonder how this fight would look if they were actually trying to hurt each other.
Funny thing is, the draw was completely fine. But it was probably already decided to be a draw anyways The bookies were flipping out when it was announced that there would be no winner. And suddenly the KO and unofficial winner was back on the table. This actually wasn´t bad at all. Jones kinda ruined it with his holding, but they worked in the clinch. And for guys their age, they sure kept up a nice pace. Both looked old but were in fantastic shape.
I just skipped through it on YouTube. tyson showing his classic style while Jones jr ran and hugged for most of it.
Sad truth. I'll chalk it up to general boredom of people at home and slow boxing schedule due to COVID.
actually surprised a bit that both men got some athleticism left, skill is there obviously, thought roy was better controlling the range poping a nice jab clinch at the right time and that flurry at the end. Tyson was not nearly as flexible as his younger days ,as well as some power the torque wasn’t nearly as smooth as his younger days. But surprisingly a decent exhibition, and sugar ray Leonard as commentator Michael buffer as the announcer. Classic. Legends. As far as rematch doesn’t really wanna see it.
Tyson won this. He really had trained for this he fought his classic peak a boo style, enjoyed this. Looked like he had studied RJJ as his game plan was spot on. Tyson had passion in this fight that he did not have in Mcbride fight. And this was a semi Hard sparing that i enjoyed. Roy was gassed from body shots and I believe he did not Tyson to be this good. Tyson really is phenomenal talent. 8/10 enjoyed this.
