Yeah that scorecard was awful. Only way I can rationalise that scorecard is he's one of those guys who are all about the power punches and don't score jabs, calling them pitty pay punches that do no damage, other than of course closing an eye and fracturing bones in the opponents skull, lol.

Massive myth. The vast majority of Dubois "big shots" were being blocked, or missing completely. He maybe had about 5 decent shots the entire night to the head.

To bring up the quantity over quality argument, there has to be sufficient quality.

Regardless, I'd say the quality punches were the ones that completely pulverised Dianabol Dubois' eye and made him quit.

Dont get your knickers in a twist im not cr@pping on Joyce. His jab was relentless.

Dubois landed the better shots. Good right hands. Its harder to land a right hand over a jab and should be considered so by the judges. Dubois had success.

    Myth lol.

Why are you so angry at Dubois lol. If your saying Dubois didn't win any rounds or landed the bigger shots then I can't talk boxing with you. Your emotions are making you see double lol

I'm merely addressing the point you made. You, on the other hand, are going off on a tangent with your ad-hominem fallacy and putting words in my mouth.

Dianabol Dubois' success came from his jab, although he was out jabbed. He barely landed anything clean in the form of a power shots on Joyce all night, despite swinging wildly and desperately in the first minute of most rounds, before he blew a gasket. He then quit.

    I think that's a reasonable assessment.

A wonderful, satisfying win for the humble Joe Joyce. The key to victory was composure, aerobic endurance and length. Dianabol Dubois' hypertrophic physique really killed him in this one. When you're blowing as hard as he was after the 2nd round like you've just gone up Alpe d'Huez full gas, you know you need to rethink things.

I had it 5-4 to Joyce going into the 10th. It was a close fight but Joyce was in control. With fair judges, I think Dubois would have needed a ko to win. With Dubois being very tired and with 1 functioning eye, I fail to see how he would have achieved that.

Why cant you give Dubois credit?

Your assessment is nonsense. Have a good night.

Why am I not surprised. Seems poor judging may be the norm...

Dubois was only fighting in spurts.

Because he didn`t live up to his hype and is nowhere near world class.

So then all you need to beat Dubois is a good jab then?

It is just the promotional and marketing situation here in the UK. Young Dubois has been hyped as a KO artist, whereas Joyce has gone under the radar, despite his Olympic success. He didn't get the AJ or Kahn treatment, that's for sure.

He made a fan out of me on Saturday night. He easily kept Dubois at bay with the jab and he was surprisingly elusive, with Dubois having to work really hard to try and find him.

Good job Joyce took it out of the hands of the judges because to have Dubois 7/8 rounds up is absolutely laughable.

So death by a thousand jabs don't mean anything to these judges? Seriously, Dubois' flurries were few and far between. He won the first and that later round where he landed a couple of nice heavy shots. Generous to Dubois would be 6-3. So, Dubois would be the one needing the KO.

I gave Dubois 3 of the first 9 rounds.

If you gave Dubois anymore than 4 rounds of the first 9 rounds, then that either makes you incompetent or it makes you corrupt.

The judge who gave Dubois 7 rounds and Joyce only 2 rounds is utterly corrupt. You cant be a judge at that high a level and get it that wrong.
