POLL: Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Usyk Vs. Joseph Obey Joyce

While Joyce has improved since they met in WSB I don't think he's improved enough to beat Usyk. He's too fast, too agile, will dance into and out like landing shots and his southpaw stance will make Joyce's heavy jab far less effective.

Joyce clearly wants it and is up for it so he clearly thinks he can win. His only hope is to simply pour on the pressure and work rate and hope over the course of a 12 round fight he can gas Usyk out and break him down. Joyce is definitely up against it vs Usyk it's going to take a monumental effort to overcome the disparity in speed, agility and skill.

Should be one hell of a fight though with a nice clash of styles with the all out aggression of Joyce vs the fleet footed boxing of Usyk.

the only person who has a chance of beating Joyce by an EVEN WIDER UD than Fury is Usyk. I think Whye and Parker are bad fights for Joyce. But Fury and Usyk are better boxers than Joyce and boxing is his game

 

Usyk at heavyweight is nothing remotely special. High output of weak shots, which won't deter joyce, who could literally walk through anything Usyk can muster.

Usyk is a massive hype job who beat a load of **** cruiserweights yet is hyped beyond belief.

 

Uysk is 10x too fast for joyce. Uysk wins an uncomfortable UD

 

You realise Usyk has already beaten Joyce reasonably easily?

 

Yeah, 7 years ago when one of them was a novice and the other at the height of his powers. Usyk at heavyweight so far looks mediocre at best.

Yeah, again, that's 7 years ago as amateurs and has zero relevance as these may as well be different fighters. Usyk is heavier, much slower, more miles on the clock and fighting against bigger guys he's going to come up short. Literally and figuratively.

 

Usyk is short changed here. Both as a boxer and as a tough guy. He'd decision Joyce on points.

Delusional. Bet you think Holyfields cruiserweight resume was insane right.. Usyk has by far the best cruiserweight resume of all time actually against legit opponents in their prime.

It's also clear you haven't watched Usyk vs Joyce in the WSB, Usyk landed at will and barely got tagged at all. And Joyces hand speed has significantly deterioriated since that fight. Usyk won't necessarily need to hurt Joyce and I can see him peppering him all night

 

Completely different styles and completely different amateur pedigree.. if you can't see that from looking at them fight there's no point me even trying to explain because it'd be beyond you
