And some posters genuinely believe that BT are the saviours who are so different to Sky with no bias at all. The commentary, scorecards and frank Warren were embarrassing.
This content is protected Contrasting scenes in the corner. All seems a bit chaotic in the Dubois corner. Joyce and Steve Broughton very calm.
It's obvious Dubois was lacking in confidence and heart all the way. His corner were trying to get him to breath and be composed and trying to boost his confidence from very early on in the fight, long before any obvious swelling on his eye. People will say "he quit because his eye had a fracture", and that will be the justification. But it really wasn't that.
Almost seems that Daniel was too scared to tell his corner he didn’t want to go out in that last round so it seemed he took the first opportunity to take the knee once the round started. Pity cos if that’s so as a fighter he needs to be able to tell anyone as it is cos it’s him who’s putting their nuts on the table.
He was shaking in the corner, his heart was broken and nowhere to be seen - even his team knew it. No point bullying no hopers if you can’t take it back.
https://www.*******.com/joe-joyce-vs-daniel-dubois-compubox-punch-stats--153638 Interesting punch stats. Good accuracy from both fighters and both using the jab alot.
It's true, but equally the corner needs to be able to take the decision if the boxer can't or won't. His safety is in there hands. Difficulty is, they told him they were three rounds from winning and sutch is the sad state of UK judging, they were probably right. Although he was eating the jabs all night it wasn't as if he was taking heavy right hands. I had him losing, but he was 'in the fight'. I guess also if they had pulled him out at the end of the ninth without him explicitly telling him that he can't see or take the pain they'd be blamed right now. From Warren's perspective throwing them to the wolves would safeguard his investment in DDD.
