Did Daniel Dubois make fun of Joe Joyce's blind mom before the fight?

Apparently his father is Irish so it's possible.
He definitely fights tough like an Irish gypsy. A big slow lump with a granite chin who keeps on swinging.

 

He looks a lot like Davey Joyce

With respect, As a few people have said.. Dubois looks and sounds like he is on the spectrum, maybe he has learning difficulties, there is definitely something.

I'm not being a a-hole, I'm not poking fun, I'm genuinely serious, he seems to have problems socially, he seems to struggle with that side of life.

Apparently he didn't own a phone until very recently, he doesn't go out, he only goes to the gym and then home, at his age that seems a little off, I'm not saying it's a bad thing to not do social media but it makes me wonder if he is actually "allowed" to have a phone or he has been advised not thave one or do social media in case he says something like this... or something else inappropriate.


I don't think he meant to be that harsh or nasty towards Joyce's mother, I think he thought it was something half funny, half badass to say.

He just didn't think it through whatsoever, a real lack of empathy, a real lack of understanding of the situation, it's a worry in my opinion.

Add to that the way his corner spoke to him during the fight, I actually think he has maturity issues, I don't think anybody should hold this against him.

Hopefully now he understands you can't say this sort of thing in jest or trying to get an edge in a fight, it's just not acceptable.

Maybe sooner or later we will be told something, maybe we won't but I think long term it may be best if he has issues we are told and then we can make some allowances if he slips up again.

 

Yeah, when people kept saying he was "special", for a minute I thought they were talking about boxing talent.
But I was being a little slow there myself.

 

Joe's mum is a mouthy slag, you wanted Dubois to sit there and say nothing? You lot are way to sensitive, I would be embarrassed if my mum was acting like that.

 

No, she didn’t use a stick. If she even had one, it was just a polite question.

Yes he seems autistic, a couple of years ago he was sitting next to a pundit talking about his career to Paul Dempsey and he didn`t say much, when Dempsey asked him if he would like to move up in level in terms of opposition, he said 'I just fight' he`s very inarticulte even when being asked why he quit against Dubois he couldn`t give a decent answer he`s very slow like Frank Bruno except Bruno was warmer and funny.

 

Considering Joe's mum is registered blind...

Errm... It's gotta be 50/50 innit..
