McGrain, Wow, just wow. Admit your way off on scoring. This is not me saying it's the boxing community who scores fights. DUH. The way you score a fight seems to go against the grain of how they are actually scored. Actually since your seem to be upset already with this thread, ( that happens when I get granular with you, a flaw of yours. ) Let me give it back to you in a language you understand. Your are being stupid. And you go overboard to justify it, way against the odds. You have limited logic and have no grasp of what percentages mean. Punches landed, Control of the fight, and so on matter not to you, moreover its a flashy 3 seconds and perhaps your own bias. I might log onto another board and spam it with your opinions as an experiment to see how much that poster name gets laughed at. 18-3 do not see if your way, neither does the poster who issued a full score card here. No you don't know how to score a fight. Weren't you the guy who felt Fury, vs Wilder 1 was a draw too? I could be wrong on that one. Speak up and choose your words carefully as you know I can and will flip them on you for my own entreatment, and to show the board what your about with these scorecards. 18-3 And you act like you are better and laughs at them. Other way around, with numbers like that they would be laughing at you. As you know I don't have to type much, Just use your words, and shocking observations. You make up your mind as the wind blows and did so here. That is about as far off and funny as it get! As for Canelo vs GGG, you have it a draw, correct? Yes or No? That's a BS card. It could be bias against GGG, who you think isn't a top 50 all time middle weight! A hilarious sad joke. Yet when I pointed that out you quickly realized it and said oops I'll make room in the top 40. FUNNY. Stop talking around the issues and acting like yoru making sense. Just like listing Mickey Walker in the top 100 heavyweights. How Stupid. Your all over the map. As for your numbers and poor use of words, work on it. No, 15% is not a lot. 79% of ring siders who felt GGG won, now that is a lot. Why you can't see the obvious, embrace 3rd party data when its overwhelming against you? Why do you act like some authority, when you not....Geez. Your also change opinions from worst ever to close. Who does that? The rest of your post is bottom fishing. Case closed, you don't know how to score a fight. You'll have to explain to me how Frazier is 5th overall at a later date. That's fan boy stuff. Just a hunch, your way up one day and slide him down the scale.
For someone who is obsessed with "data" here is your data: A drawn card for a fight where a drawn card is clearly reasonable. One round in a fight we are otherwise in complete agreement on. You are beyond lost. I think this one will live forever. See the way you dig up every single opinion of mine you ever have disagreed with in the history of this forum every time you start a thread calling me out? It's utterly pitiful. I ignore them as a general rule because you just aren't going to be able to stop saying it - it doesn't matter what gets said, you will just continue repeating these things infinitely, until you die. Here is what Springs Toledo says about my ranking of Mickey Walker: "What a thrill to see Mickey Walker at #94. We can count on one finger how many boxing historians would think to include him; so let’s make that one finger the middle one. Matt has it up like a flag, just for Mickey." So that's the finest writer on boxing of his generation and his opinion - and then there's yours I'm very happy with taking Toledo's position over yours. Look. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if you disagree with my ranking of Joe Frazier and Mickey Walker or anything like that. Here's an honest question: why do you bring it up over and over and over and over again? Why twenty times this year? Why go on and on about it? Its huge. Why cant you? 15% of ringside cards is astronomical. A huge figure. I can think of two fights that had more, and that's it. A huge proportion of ringsiders scored this a draw. As you keep repeatedly pointing out 1 - I didn't do that. 2 - I already explained, in detail, how and why it happened. Just more bizarre posting. I even write in discussing that ranking "there is no top 10 at heavyweight." It couldn't matter less to me what you think about Joe Frazier being ranked at 5 or 7 and its sort of pitiful that in your epic search for weaknesses in my posting, complaining about a clear top ten heavyweight candidate being in the heavyweight top ten is miserable. Either way though, it's time for you take a prolonged break from this forum. Perhaps you should use this time to "log onto another board and spam it with your opinions as an experiment to see how much that poster name gets laughed at"
That was immense. I have now observed the Dunning-Kruger effect rise to a level few have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. But truth be told it has been bubbling not far beneath that for years.
Fair play to Mcgrain. He showed unbelievable patience with this whole episode. Has anyone ever witnessed such a meltdown as we have witnessed from Mendoza?
Somebody needs to do the Hitler youtube meme from Downfall subtitled 'Mendoza hears that Classic have voted Toney beats Golovkin'. I've just convinced the other half to watch Mongo sparking out the horse in Blazing Saddles, but this is funnier. Bless you McGrain, talk about patient. Sort of repeatedly putting fifty pence in the clockwork knobhead and flicking him over every time he gets on a roll.
Poor Mendoza he just never recovered from the ggg vs toney thing he took such a beating in that one spent the last month trying to validate his points.
My proudest ever moment in here was starting that GGG - Toney thread. The 90 odd pages mean very little compared to what transpired due to it
