I assume he’ll see off Josesito with his no look left hook sometime around April next year before moving into a bigger fight with Porter or Thurman.

A fight with Sergey Lipinets would be a lot of fun though ‍♂️

In the end most become gatekeepers who pass the torch.

Reminds me how his career started against the ATG turned gatekeeper in Morales.

Where Danny’s no look hook swift philly bricks knocked that man out of the ring & essentially reducing him to gatekeeper status.

Father Time & the Reaper catches up to us all ... ashes to ashes dust to dust.

He's still a legitimate contender. This is not the type of question to even need be asked about him..............Is the trajectory to immediately retire if you aren't "the" best in the world? He lost to 3 of the top 5 WWs so it's oblivion for him now? There would be hardly any boxers. He still has a name, he's a multiple division champion. There's a number of fights out there for him without him having to be labeled "gate keeper". A gatekeeper is Jose Lopez, Ray Robinson etc.......not a former titlist. If Danny loses his next 6 fights then yea, gatekeeper. But honestly it's doubtful he loses to anyone who isn't "elite-ish"

He is at an interesting crossroads. He's lost to all the top WW's already. Can't go back to 140, too small for 154.

Maybe Thurman might look at Garcia again, as a return bout post Pac. A fight w/ Mikey would be cool too.

Perhaps Terence Crawford who seems reluctant to fight Shawn Porter.

His losses have all been competitive, no shame in that at all. I think his dad said something about 154, I dont think thats the move at all.

Time to stop taking tuneups and fight top opposition. At least top 20.

Garcia has been making very good money ever since he beat Amir Khan. He has stayed relevent (and importantly, wealthy) for the last 8 years.

Maybe a few more fights but he would lose to the elite. Time to get a few more paydays and enjoy life.

at this point just to solidify he was a solid contender in a decent era. Keep fighting and earn money. He will never be an all time great or a hall of famer now.

honestly I dont care to see him again. he's still living off that KO of Amir Khan. his fights are usually pretty boring. I'm honestly more interested in watching Floyd beat up youtubers than to watch another 12 round snoozefest of danny garcia.

Well at least he's a peg above Crawford.

He's been in with the best guys at welterweight, and although he's lost to all of them, narrowly twice, he's never been knocked out. Crawford's only been in against 10th-ranked Kavaliauskas and champ-by-theft Horn. Who knows how this guy fares against the Thurmans, Porters and Spences, come to think of it, how would he fare against Danny himself?

With Swift, there's no magical "extrapolation" needed, he fought them.
