Bellew did beat a guy that has put together some impressive wins since beating Kudryashov, Papin and Cieslak to become WC whilst already holding a win over another current top 10 in Mchunu . It's a defintley a credible win.
Well looks like it won't be for the title. Eddie was doing his best to try and force the WBO to lose more credibility (if they have any left) and rank some bang average Polish fighter to let Okolie gets his hands on the title. But even Eddie now is saying it looks unlikely.
Yeah as much as I dislike Bellew the Makubu win was credible and definitely his career best. That said, he's never dethroned anyone which is holds him back in terms of legacy.
Exactly, In my opinion Bellew is a myth, this idea he was some wrecking machine warrior is a complete joke. Bellew only ever won VACANT titles, from British to World, he never beat a Champion. Actually the only times he fought a reigning Champion.. Cleverly, Stevenson and Usyk, lost all 3 and was KTFO in 2.
He even didn't fought vs Briedis, definitely because this Briedis was too bad and not dangerous for him. OK, for example Cunnigham from british CW boxers liked me more. Cunningham had defeated young Huck for example this his version was really dangerous.
This card went from decent to meh pretty quick. I make now one good fight on there, which is Bakole-Kuzmin.
Okolie now fighting Nikodem Jezewski who's best win is a MD over Shanwdell Terrell Winters, he was also stopped by Michal Cieslak in 3 rounds
Really surprised they didn't match Okolie with Tervel Pulev he normally fights on Kubrats cards and was a good amateur
