From the time Pacquiao knocked out Morales to the day Marquez put Pacquiao to sleep, this place was littered with Pacquiao fanboys. Pacquiao's biggest fanboys in this forum during this that span was laid to rest the night Pacquiao was put to sleep, so many never posted after that. LOL! Whatever happened to Patsys and Bulankenyo? Those were the few Pacquiao fanboys who I respected, they loved Pacquiao but were concious of the greatness of Marquez and voiced worry everytime Pacquiao fought Marquez. But yeah, this place was Pacquiao Disneyland pre-KTFO6!
One lucky punch from a roided fighter doesnt make him great How many times did Pac deck JMM in the first fight yet they still gave him a draw Pac won 3 in reality JMM got lucky in the 4th & refused to ever fight Pac again since. JMM, Froid, etc are reduced to retirement or in Floyd's case appearing in a circus as a clown. When was the last time Floyd fought a legitimate opponent in a 100 % fair fight???? I cannot remember it After this debacle watch out for Froid - Charlie Zelenov lol
I found this KO surprisingly, not really satisfying. Ruiz stoppage of AJ wasn't the greatest style wise, but it was a lot more satisfying. Smith Jr. stoppage of Hopkins was not only more stylish, it had more comedic value and more irony. And it was also far more satisfying. Povetkin's KO of Whyte was extremely stylish and very satisfying also, particularly since it took place in Hearn's backyard.
@divac Do you think that this KO decreased Pac's ability to beat Mayweather? Had Pac ducked the 4th Marquez fight do you think he would have ended up beating Floyd? Once Pac got KTFO by Marquez it took a lot of the wind out of the Mayweather Pacquiao sails. It still ended up happening years later but Pacquiao by then was already seen as chinny and no longer in his prime. He had visibly slowed down and became more of a cautious fighter after getting KO'd by Marquez. And then he comes into the Mayweather fight injured, lackluster. It really took Pac many years to overcome that KO. And another thing that really has to be said is that this KO happened in the fight after the first Bradley fight. It was almost like karma for so many people screaming robbery about how Pac lost the decision to Bradley. Then in the next fight he gets KTFO. And even after that HBO still kept hyping him to the moon. But it was a clearly a diminished, safety first Pacquiao after this KO. Until maybe many years later like with the performance vs Matthysse then Keith Thurman to really say "Pac is back". But all those years if we're honest, this KO was very damaging to Pac's career trajectory which may have seen him end up beating Mayweather if this didn't happen.
Damn, that's crazy! I could feel the energy from the announcers. Funny to see MAB be a stick in the mud.
Floyd was roided to the gills , see IV gate, had NSAC sabotage Pac by denying him his LEGAL agreed toradol shot at the last minute. Then came the coup de gras the NSAC gave Floyd a retroactive TUE for the ILLEGAL saline he was caught red handed receiving in his own home. I'm surprised the didnt tie his shoelaces together too. Floyd STILL couldnt decisively beat him after all that
It was like Pac was fighting Floyd short-handed, like he had one arm tied behind his back. But I still think there was something even more fishy than what you say happened. the fact is, it wasn't just Pac who was injured and unhealthy. Floyd was clearly unhealthy too. Did you see him in the pre-fight interview with Jim Gray, Floyd was licking his lips like his body had been deprived of all moisture. It is not normal for EITHER fighter to be that dehydrated and unhealthy before a boxing match. You talk about him not getting his toradol shot, but isn't that part of the "Olympic-style" drug testing procedures implemented for that fight? These measures obviously had a drastic effect on the healthy and safety of both fighters. Neither man should have been allowed to get in the ring that night. That was not normal Mayweather or normal Pacquiao. Do you think Pacquiao was forced to have his blood drawn? He had already objected to needles CJ and this process may have made Pacquiao queezy and his body may have even had a bad reaction to all the excessive drug testing demanded by Mayweather.
That MAB video is so strange, but he's always been a depressive type personality. I did not realize the bad feelings out there regarding this all time great series. That's my optimism I guess.
Man what a fight and what a knock out that was. I am not gonna lie, I lost sleep after that fight lmao. Nothing but full respect to both of those warriors that night.
He looked really devastated in those first few seconds. Then he looked like he forced himself to be interested in the aftermath of the KO.
When Pacquiao went face down into the canvas and didn't move my first thought was that he may be dead. Was glad when he came around.
What was great about that?? A proven & eventually self confessed steroid abuser Shane Mosely, juiced to the gills again, beat up on a sick demoralized Antonio Margarito after a lying POS claimed he saw Plaster Casts in his wraps . Mosely claimed he'd passed 3 polygraph tests proving he was innocent BUT then Balco produced the receipts with his John Henry on them & he had to come clean & admit he lied All cheats are scumbags & should have their boxing licences revoked.
****tards get satisfaction from a roided beyond belief dick head Marquez landing a Hail Mary after getting his nose broken and being beaten and knocked down many times in 3 previous fights lololol .. you want a legit Knockout that was way better?? Sergio Martinez icing Paul Williams . Now that’s a KO dumbasses
