He didn't get battered lol that was his last fight before he got with the Reynoso's he's improved a lot since then he won the first 6 rounds and got gassed out because he kept going for the finish early when he thought he had morales hurt it was an important learning fight for him. Morales is a durable guy and a pretty skilled fighter he was never stopped before the Linares fight and the first 2 rounds were really competitive between him and Linares I definitely gave him at least 1 of them. As I said in my post Lukes biggest advantage going into this fight are his experience at the world level and being the same height and reach as Ryan this is a 50/50 fight I think Ryans speed and power will prevail but Campbell's experience and Boxing IQ will make this a very difficult fight. Also Ryan only had 2 inches of reach on Fonseca and 1 inch of reach on Duno you can't attribute those knockouts to just size lol Ryan set up the check left hook on them perfectly both times while keeping them out by hurting them every time they went to go in.
He's marketable with the boy band good looks and has a fast flashy style but in all honesty I'm not that impressed by him. Little head movement, backs up in straight lines and like most speedsters just tries to get off first and doesn't counter. Also he has a short reach which is why his hands are quick, much like Gary Russel Jr. So while he has speed he doesn't have that range to go with it.
He has a good work ethic and strong team behind him from the training staff, managers and promoter. So yes he has every chance to make it. But superstar? I don't see it. He beats Tank fo sure. But 140 and up he will prolly get exposed.
How almost no one on this board seems to know about this lovely little chicken dance is beyond me. It's a bloody great little clip.
Morales isn't that durable, Garcia just has a lack of boxing IQ and he hasn't improved a lot under Reynoso, has slightly better timing but all the mistakes he's been making are the same. Never said his reach was better than everyone, he just fights tall, but a very stiff tall fighter mind you. He hasn't faced the guys who'd expose that.
Luke Campbell is a tough opponent for him. Even if he wins, who's after that? Loma? Haney? Commey? Shakur? No easy options here.
They are prospects. Big props for stepping up big. Fighters like Golovkin didn't step up until they were forced too yet get much love around here.
What are you talking about he stepped up as soon as he signed with HBO, he started fighting top 10 fighters regularly once he had the money machine behind him.
IsaL makes up 1/3 of the Three Stooges along with DrenchedLou and Shadow111 (though Shadow is actually cool and the other two are just gimps). IsaL's a moron.
