This greedy Golden asswipe is using the former "Bible of Boxing" as his own little advertisement gimmick. It is rather sickening, as yesterday, I was in a store and saw his rag, and though I REFUSED to shell out $8.95 for it, I did sit down and read it for free. He used his entire back cover as advertisement for his new autobiography, which is GUARANTEED to skip over the **** charges or the Draq Queen incident. Anyway, inside the rag, I saw that he covered a chapter of his book, in which he fought the aging Legend, Julio Cesar Chavez, and this pile of garbage from East LA, de la Hoya, paints a VERY unflattering picture of the Mexican Legend, while talking about himself as if he was the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

He talks about Chavez, as if he has a huge ego. Talk about painting the ****ing Kettle black, Oscar de la Hoya is the Biggest EGOMANIAC in the History of Boxing. Though I am sad that he isnt going to get his Golden Ass schooled again, by the SBA, Floyd Jr., I am ecstatic that Floyd Jr. retired in his face, and deprived him of revenge, or another 50million dollar payday. I KNOW that Floyd did it to merely **** with Oscar and GBP, because they werent going to give him the bigger purse $$$.

He talks of Chavez galevanting with women at late hours while he himself was drinking milk, and waking up early to run in the streets. Funny, how in the drag queen photos he was three sheets to the wind, but in all fairness, the first fight against the Ancient Chavez was in 1996. He talks of having to "wear pillows" when he sparred Chavez, and he brags about beating the legend, which can be compared to William Joppy bragging about knocking out Roberto Duran.

And then he has the audacity to even bring up the Rematch, in 1998, in which an even more ancient Chavez fought his heart out and lost to a younger, stronger fighter at a heavier weightclass. **** Oscar de la Hoya, his team, and entire fanbase for this blasphemy. This can be compared to Marciano bragging about knocking out Louis, or Holmes talking **** to Ali after their fight.

Oscar de la Hoya does admit that fighting Chavez caused him to get booed in his own hometown, and that it drew the hatred of all of Mexico towards his crossdressing ass. The funniest part is when he talks about people throwing rotten fruit at his ass when he was the Grand Marshall of some parade. One of my biggest regrets in this lifetime is that I wasnt there at that parade with my Mexican Brothers and Sisters, pelting his Effeminate Golden Ass with rotten, black banannas.:hi: :good :rasta

He ****ed up BIG TIME by picking the Mexican Legend as an opponent, when he could have made just as much $$$ and an IBF Title by knocking out Kostya Tszyu, who nobody in the states cares about. But Tszyu was primed out in 1996, and you and I know, that Oscar's opposition was carefully handpicked back then. :deal

i really didnt think oscar would be so blatant in his self-promotion after buying The Ring. i wanted to believe that gbp buying the ring wouldn't bias the magazine. i thought they would at least make it seem like the magazine was staying objective. he was on the cover last month and his book ad was on the mag too. sad, the legendary Ring has lost its credibility.

I've been saying this for a long time. Oscar is a greedy ass businessman FIRST and a student of the game LAST. All he cares about his what kind of profit he can make off of the magazine, and how he can use it to promote GBP and himself.

Sure. I showed up to his last REAL fight against Mayweather, but in support of Floyd Jr., and for the sole purpose of tormenting his fans after the fight, which was more fun than even making light of Golota's chances of being a Polish HW Champion!!!:smooch :hi:

No, but after the weigh in, I did go to the MGM Ballroom area, where they were having some GBP fights, which nobody cared about, and talked with the Oscar fans, and reminded them of what was going to happen the following day. :hat

Well,it does seem pretty bad that he would do something like that as he guarentted a "hands off" approach to owning the magazine. But back covers of magazines are usually advertisements anyway. It would be worse if that magazine wasted features space promoting the book.

As a longtime Ring subscriber, I was extremely disappointed to see De La Hoya using the magazine for such a blatant attempt at self-promotion.

In the long run, it will devalue it as a result. Clearly GDP is taking a short term perspective on this. Hopefully, they will sell it soon.

Didnt Floyds daddy say Floyd wanted to be like Oscar? that he wanted to have the money and fame Oscar has had and that is why he was basicly stalking DLH?
Hmmm I think Jack is Floyd
