Clearly post defeat joshua. Joshua looked more technically sound the normal since ruiz beat him

Pre ruiz. People overreact saying joshua has improved so much since the defeat. No he has not. He learned how to move his feet a bit to save his whole career against a plodder who cant cut the ring off. Pulev doesnt have fast feet either but was able to close the distance whenever he wanted.

    Pre-Ruiz Jr

The fearlessness, explosiveness and aggression that made him elite that got him where he is today is long gone.

He needs to avoid Fury and Wilder, and be carefully matched to keep his belts. He is now an accident waiting to happen.

An opponent who isn’t pushing 40 and has some youthful aggression and uses it, is going to be something he needs to avoid.

    - More economical with his punches.
    - Establishes his jab more.

Those are two relatively meaningful improvements for a fighter like AJ that extend beyond just 'moving feet a bit' to be elusive.

Thats what im talking about. What he lost agaisnt ruiz is far bigger than any improvement or changes he can make in his boxing style

The answer is obvious, and its the guy that got a UD against the guy that savagely destroyed the previous AJ.

    Obvious answer is... obvious.

Yeah no. Him being obnoxiously agressive, explosive and a predator led to his downfall against ruiz. Now he can do all of that with more coordination and ring IQ

    We are right.

But you can only really see it, if you have seen numerous world champions careers. If you know the kind of personality required to have longevity in AJs position.
The rise and fall and how they react to a brutal knock out defeat after thinking they are unbeatable.

Economical with his punches i get that so he doesnt gas himself out.... But if you let a fresher fighter out off the hook like in round 3 because in your back of your mind youre afraid to gas out is gonna bite him in the ass one day. Jab was great today against a guy who stands up like a statue though. He needs more than that to catch fury off guard

But being more cautious and lacking that early KO kick. He will now fight more rounds and be more vulnerable against a certain type of fighter.

Also from a marketing perspective his popularity will continue to fall. As the casuals are looking for the early brutal knock outs. That impacts negatively upon PPV buys and sponsorship.

Let the casual bandwagoners do that. Aj will receive his respect from true boxing fans after he fights fury. Even if he doesnt win im 100% confident he'll give fury a hard fight
